Well, since the guy who shot the kid dead fled the state they can continue pretending nothing had happened. This is what's frustrating though. They won't admit that they're at fault because it would imply they were wrong about other things too.

It's a vicious circle but I honestly believe if people keep on pushing and demanding their rights and justice something will have to be done. Replacing the whole department is not something commonly done but it should be in this case.

They really need to get things under control here. Enforced curfew, anti-congregation laws, etc.

They have the right to peacefully protest. The problem is they should be getting protected by the police in doing so and not be getting attacked like this.

The thing that not a lot of people are understanding is we had a third party involved, which consisted of looters. They were the bad seeds, but they seemed to have stopped early yesterday. It's even more disheartening because they made it unsafe for the protesters (one protester got shot in her face but somehow lived).

An innocent child is dead. People have every right to be angry, fed up and disgruntled and they have every right to act out. The only person missing the point here is you, as per usual when the topic of discussion is racism against black people.

Yes it was and police intervention is obvious and makes sense when rioting and looting is occurring. However, the police are doing too much now. They are attacking peaceful protesters with tear gas and gunshots. A lot of these people are trying to peacefully prove a point, but instead their mission was blurred by the idiots who took advantage of the opportunity to act like a bunch of coons. Law enforcement needs to use better judgement as to who they are going after, and the fact that they are not is just an abuse of power tbh.

The response was not thuggery. They should protest when they've been wronged by law enforcement. It is not okay to loot and steal. However, I'd argue that people are using the protest as a cover. I'm curious as to who the looters are. I want to know who they are before we start saying the protestors are the looters. Seems like its two different groups of people.

Please keep in mind that the looters are a separate entity from the protesters. Of the 8 looters that were originally arrested, not a single one had any ties to Ferguson whatsoever.

The St. Louis County Police are being taken off entirely and the FBI along with the Department of Justice are involved. They'll get theirs.

The first story is ******** and does not correspond with what the girl and witnesses said. Unless it turns out that the people who shot her were paid by police, I'm not going to put any stock in to this viral image.
