I remember 1 1/2 years ago reading an article in Billboard talking about how the top ten digital downloads had increased in 40%, even though the rest of the chart's downloads had dropped by 30%, leaving to a slight overall decline from 2012.
In other words what was already going on in the lower and middle parts of the Digital Songs Chart for two years has now spread into the Top Ten, which had been untouched for the most part until this spring and summer.
I know we have compared the current week's Top Ten Digital Songs Chart with last years and other years, but can we compare it with 2012, which appears now to have been the peak year of digital downloads?
