If Kill Bill procreated with Toxic and had an affair with Telephone on the side, this would be the result. Some parts were "eh," but I enjoyed it for the most part. Good job Iggy and Rita
Terrible. Reminiscent of Kill Bill, Toxic MV, Rihanna's YDO bangs on Rita/Rita looking exactly like Rih. Nothing about it was compelling.
Iggy looked really pretty though. Like not **** start pretty but actually really cute. Rita was the worst part.
Stop making it about Rihanna. Rihanna did not invent blonde bangs. Who da **** even remembers You Da One enough to copy it?
It's visually so beautifuL It actually looks like scenes from a film. And the concept is amazing. Conceptually, it could have been just almost as great as Fancy.
But it's lacking in so much energy. They just sort of fumble around awkwardly with swords. The scenes are way too long. And I really don't like that neither of them opens their mouth once. I get what she was going for with that. She wanted to make it look like she was daydreaming while listening to the song, and in her daydream, she was kicking this rude customer's ass and looked like The Bride from Kill Bill while doing it. So why would she be mouthing the song in her daydream? It's creative and makes it seem more cinematic, but it didn't really work. It only contributed to the lack of energy and the fact that the scenes seemed really long and slow.
I still think it's a good video. But the general consensus in here seems to be that it was underwhelming. It started off so incredibly, and then when she ran her sword through the screen and it shattered at 2:18, it just seemed so half-assed and the energy felt really low.
