Katy doesn't have to cling to anyone.
She wears everything from Gucci to Versace to Vera Wang. She just likes what she likes(which she has terrible favorite designers I'll give you that)
But yes, she does have some great red carpet moments. She's yet to have "that" moment circa Gaga's meat dress(even though it was ugly) and Rihanna at the CFDA's, but she will soon.

Nah. Rihanna had moments close-to-CFDA-calbur before her big moment whereas Katy has honestly never had anything close to a moment like that. Like, I'm not even trolling here - she's looked nice on red carpets in the past, but nothing to really stick out. Taylor is similar in that respect.
