You're not following the discussion. This isn't about Bey's longevity. Besides who needs longevity when when your frontloaded album has outsold those with "longevity"?
And there won't be any shock. When they implement this new system, we are expecting artists to do the same thing they are doing right now: announce release date and promote before the album drops. When the album is released everywhere at the same time, it will create excitement and inclusiveness and will help fight piracy.

This is not going to stop piracy though, it's a good try, and they had a point on the Australia date thing. BUT, most albums still leak week(s) before the first street date release whenever in the world it will be first.

Great idea, but wouldn't it just be easy to make the official release date Monday or Tuesday instead of Friday? If they change it to Friday, Billboard and the other charts will need to update their weekly tracking.

Right, so when the US market gets an album serviced to streaming a week later than, say, Germany, you really expect them to just sit there and wait patiently because it's free? When they can pirate and get stuff free anyways, a week earlier?

Literally the only people who would do that is a few thousand stans. Millions of people aren't gonna RUSH to download Katy's new single 3 days earlier instead of streaming.

This proves my point, changing to a global release date is a waste of time and money. Sales will be done, and piracy will have a drop in an ocean sized effect on Streaming's $$.

The efforts to change and enforce it would cost more time and money then letting 10,000 Katy Perry stans use a site to download her single 2 days early while 100 million people listen to it through Streaming.

Plus I like having different charts coming out on different days of the week. The US on wednesday, the UK on sunday, Japan, France and Germany on tuesday, Australia, NZ and Ireland on friday etc.

Good. This is a great idea and should've been done long ago, I'm sick of random things like measurement systems varying worldwide. Something like this is such an easy fix and can be inducted so easily that it should definitely be done.

I highly doubt albums & singles will ever go out for good. I guess it COULD happen, but I just don't think that the entirety of the planet is all gonna move to Spotify or some other streaming service. Physical and digital ownership still has a lot of appeal and will doubtfully fall out for good.
