In my dreams she dies from multiple organ failure after I torture her for a week.
But she'll probably die in her mid 30s from heroin overdose, drowned in her own vomit (like that girl from Breaking Bad) in some NYC apartment. Some media outlets would give a quick note, reminding that she had a couple of dance pop hits circa 2009 and wore garish costumes. Some gays would be like "oh I bottomed in one of her concerts". The world would move on @ the next day.

Why are you all talkin about Gags being dead? Half the world already thinks she is with her dismal sales and nonexistent airplay. So when she does die people won't really notice. I semi agree with Giselle though.
When Britney 100% (she's 80% there already) dies she's going to be a legend. There are no if's or but's.

Plus everyone knows she tried to kill herself many times and is a drug addict. No one will be surprised. People will just go "oh right, she had issues," and shrug.
