But I don't know why everyone's surprised she's going to sell 500k+ in her first week. She's been releasing a single to iTunes each week for the last month or so. This is all a marketing scheme to make the "Complete My Album" feature more enticing, plus people these days are so averse to paying $10-14 upfront for an album that this whole "one single a week" thing gives people the chance to pay for the album in installments.

I really can't stand Taylor's music, but I have a feeling this album is going to be the "As I Am" of the holiday 2008 season and might even surpass "Carnival Ride"'s sales.

Regarding this week's new releases

I expected 350-400K but 500K is amazing for Taylor.
I actually expected David to open around that mark, maybe slightly higher. 255K is what I estimated.
T-Pain 175-190K He SHOULD sell 500 copies, but I predicted maybe 35-40K. After hearing his new song, I was disappointed with it beyond belief. Oh well, I think it's gonna flop anyway. He's a better 'producer' than singer.
I don't usually say this but, go Christina! 75K for a Target exclusive is pretty amazing.
Now 29, kinda disappointed with the reports of it, I expected 220Kish.
