"X-Men: Days of Future Past" is not a hit because of Jennifer Lawrence. It's because Michael Fassbender (and James McAvoy, to a lesser extent) literally saved the entire franchise with "X-Men: First Class." Jennifer Lawrence has no impact whatsoever as Mystique. Her performance is empty and uninteresting as Mystique, unlike Rebecca Romijn's performance.

You keep telling yourself that but Jen was a major draw and her performance as Mystique has garnered constant acclaim. Rebecca was great. She played the ice cold predator perfectly but Jen gives the character emotion and helps flesh her out.

Emma Stone's personality is the personality that Jennifer Lawrence thinks or wishes that she had. Even though Emma Stone isn't a great actress, the general public accepts her and her performances because she's so naturally charming and naturally funny without trying so hard to be funny, like Jennifer Lawrence. Jennifer Lawrence's personality is so fake and off putting.
