I feel like Adele is the closest to legendary status. She appeals to everyone and everything. Beyonce's demographic still seems limited to teens and people in their 20's and early 30's. That isn't a bad thing, but a legend should definitely have wider appeal to the oldies (I bet they only like Halo)!

Beyonce has impressive stats but you have to be able to look beyond them to see why she's a legend.

It's like how in 2008 I knew Gaga would become the biggest thing in pop and how in 2010/11 I knew her career was so over that she'd never have a comeback.

Look and think ahead and outside the charts. Hasbeyn is a legend.

I wouldn't say she's a legend now, or even that she's guaranteed to be one. But she has a longevity that's very unusual for a pop girl in her generation, and she is extremely respected for her talent and ability to put on a show. If she keeps being an A+ performer she will continue to have an audience. She could have a residency on Celine's level if she plays her cards right.
