Beyonce's legendary status isn't based on any statistics. It's based on the fact that she's a household name that everyone talks about (rihannafan has admitted multiple times to talking about Bey SO much that he influences his friend's opinions of her) and has a career that has lasted a lot longer than most pop girls. Only P1nk compares in terms of longevity of current pop girls.
His life is fun to talk about for current events because he tries to keep it so controlled and private. It's like when a guy ignores the pretty girl, then it makes her want him more.
That's what his interest is predicated on. As far as actual musical output, he has done only 1 or 2 songs that will be remembered. All those live performances don't matter in the end.
