They could have at least put the one song she wrote on the standard edition of the album instead of the Japanese exclusive edition so that the critics wouldn't have bashed her for having no involvement.
That's the reason why they felt like they needed to buy all those writing credits for Britney on BJ, so don't even remind me, please.
Xo
Welcome to the base! I took four years of Spanish, so I can read and write it decently, but I definitely wish I knew it better. What you said in your post about Britney is so amazing and true. Please don't be afraid to post more often!

I always thought it was kind of sad that the one song Britney wrote didn't even end up on HER album. I do believe that she wrote on Britney Jean though. She probably only made minor changes to some of the songs, though, and they probably gave her credit for those small changes even though Britney normally doesn't take credit unless she plays a significant part in writing a song.

The nit-picking was real. I don't think they were expecting something as great as Femme Fatale from her, but because its Britney they had to find something negative to say.

That's why I don't care for music reviews. The critics either decide whether they are for or against an artist and base their reviews on that. The focus is rarely on the music.

She probably has done as much as she has ever done these last 7-8 years, but this time they decided to ignore her style of not getting credit for a one or two letters change... And it obviously backfired.

It was the 2nd Britney Base closed, ATRL now closes big threads to protect the server.

I still find it funny to this day that critics PANNED Blackout when it was released and now they have all backtracked and admitted how amazing it is. They probably had their reviews written before the album came out because they expected it to be a mess like her personal life at the time. Britney proved them wrong, though, as usual.

Exactly. I bet she actually wrote significant portions of songs like Alien, Perfume, Hold on Tight, etc., but songs like Body Ache and Tik Tik Boom were probably songs were she made minor changes and was given credit, even though normally she would never take credit for small changes. They probably did it to help support the whole "most personal album" thing they were going for, but it was probably against Britney's wishes and, as you said, backfired.
And that makes sense. I wonder how long Base 3 will last.

Exactly. And a lot of critics will just follow what other critics say or drag an artist because it's the popular thing to do.
