I guess you could argue that OutKast were more responsible for murdering gangsta rap, but most people still like to give Kanye credit for that one.
You can't argue that OutKast killed gangsta rap because 50 Cent happened in 2003. Kanye had more impact on killing gangsta rap than OutKast; that whole melancholy, whiny rap trend truly did start with Kanye, mainly around 808s, which is not too long after 50 Cent, G-Unit and the like faded.
Flop in US, hit outside of US. American audiences are clearly not comfortable seeing slavery depicted if it's in a serious manner. 12YAS did kind of make Django Unchained irrelevant though.

Sheezus is one of the worst albums of all time but her first 2 albums **** on anything Katy has ever done. **** on most things most girls have done. Lily has talent, she just lost it down the back of a sofa or some **** this era.
Too bad Marvel-Disney can't (and will never) give us ACTUAL action sequenecs like this,
instead of the countless generic "I'm running/falling in slow motion" scenes they count as an "action sequence."
