Kesha had the same and/ or similar promo to Gaga.
ARTPOP under performed due to mismanagement. After the album release Gaga didn't promote or even release a music video to the damn second single. She made it flop. Pre-November 2013 the era was fine.

I really don't think you should ever take the words of a pop star as genuine, especially when a majority of them (Gaga herself) are made to be marketable. They're all phonies. Most of them probably didn't even want to get into the business as pop stars.

Yes but it's the logical step for her to take. The dance-pop shtick isn't going to fly at this point. Everyone praised DWUW for being a breath of fresh air, a non-pretentious song with great vocals and relatable lyrics.

If Gaga made a song like Someone Like You it could have real smash potential. She's not going to be able to make another Bad Romance at this point in time.
