The only reason why ZDT didn't win big at the Oscar is because she had already won for The Hurt Locker and the "omg a raw war movie, and it's directed by a woman!!!!" novelty was worn out.

Oh, definitely. It wasn't a "quality of film" thing. It was strictly political, and I was really bummed.
Bolded Part: You can't put the head of the largest terrorist organization in the world who has been evading capture for years and has thousands of devotees, many of whom are heavily armed, on a CRIMINAL TRIAL. That's how you get attacked again.
No, why should there be a trial where actual EVIDENCE is produced for the public to see. Let's just believe everything our government tells us!
If you honestly think that Osama Bin Laden could've logistically have had a trial, then you literally know nothing about the justice system or diplomacy.
The final scene of ZD30 gives me chills. When Maya is on the plane and has that cathartic realization, that she has finally achieved what she had been pursuing her entire life and now has to pick up the pieces as to where to go next
!! And the music @ the end makes that scene for me. I downloaded the soundtrack just for that one track. LOL
