Very disappointed Rian couldn't submit. I was looking forward to his the most.
I'll send in my rankings tomorrow. I already have a clear favorite out of these.

I think only the judges have to rank the entries. We just sit and wait for the lashings results.

I think I forgot to mention it but results are coming today. And I asked the judges and they both wanted another elimination!

Round Two - The Copycat
Welcome, candidates. After the rather unfortunate no shows, I asked the other editors if it would be best to simply have a no elimination round. But that was determined to be "not fun", so someone will still be going home tonight.
Below each of your names you will find your score and comments on your articles. Good luck.

This is such a damn mess, Jessie…Good job. The comparisons are ridiculous, but they made me laugh my ass off. I wish it read as more of an article and was less “silly” (You could’ve taken your false claims more seriously, to really give it that final push into tabloid territory). Biggest improvement from round one.

My thoughts in a 1 worded phrase...ehhh. I felt as if you were collecting many elements of Coldplay and pointing how Ariana copied the band. Had you tried to compare fewer items to compare Coldplay and Ariana too and did some research to see if Ariana copied Coldplay's work from years ago, I think this entry would have been more solid of a comparison.

I was very pleasantly surprised by your entry. You had me cackle a few times, most notably when you said: “Or maybe just the death of her career? This could be true given all the bad decisions she’s been making lately.” It’s so casually slipped in but so ruthless! There were a few grammatical errors, but this is ATRL and comparatively you’re a linguistics professor.
One last thing, though: this competition isn’t about formatting or having the prettiest entry. But centering is cute.

(Random blurbs of comments for you):
-To be honest, I had no idea the Aaliyah gold top picture was iconic in anyway (it must be a sign of the times).
- OMG 3 albums released to date just like Aaliyah I didn't see that coming.
-Oh wow I'm loving the facts about the pedophilia notion with Russell Brand and R.Kelly
At first with your intro I felt as though you were kind of drifting off of the main subject. I didn't really care to read you commentary on thinking, but when that point passed in your entry, . I mean the points were elaborate, well thought and placed together.
Excellent entry

Your professionalism showed through, as always. The only one that reads like an attention grabbing article. And I gave you some slack because you got a pair of complete irrelevants.
You remind me of Sub, and vice versa. I wanna see you come out on top next round.

You definitely went into fine detail throughout your piece over Madison's wanting to be Lights. Now I wasn't laughing my butt off from this piece simply because you didn't have a lot of pop culture linkage with this piece (mainly since Madison Bear and Lights are practically irrelevant artists), but I think you pulled the best that you could given the situation at hand.

The whole time I was reading your article, I just kept dreading getting to the part where the picture came into play. I’m not offended and I don’t think that jokes can’t be made about heavy topics…But everyone has to be in on it. When you make a joke about domestic abuse, it’s no longer a joke when no one laughs. This was essentially a drag fest for you from which no artist was safe. I liked the content of some of those drags, but the breadth of it kept making it feel like your entry lacked focus and a key point. Also, you only alluded to comparisons for a marginal part about dark music. This whole entry was just you dragging Lorde and anyone else who came within ten yards. It was too much.

Yeah I was very turned off as a reader when the comparisons of Rihanna's domestic violence was compared to Lorde's style. I felt this entry was a bit Blog worthy to be considered an article. I think if you trimmed each your paragraphs back it would havve been more simplistic and the funny might have come out easier. Yeah the Rihanna domestic abuse jokes...I didn't realize the only jokes one could make about Rihanna was from that event.

You could've pulled up old pics of one of Rihanna's weaves and said Lorde was copying it. Or use Lorde's dark lipstick and say she copied it from Rih. Just ANYTHING that's not this.

Your article was focused and you knew what you were doing. I laughed where I was supposed to laugh, even if some of that bolding was excessive. If you keep churning out these types of entries, you’re gonna do well here.

Very generic title to your article Anyways, I am shocked the length of the article was only focused on hair tbh. I liked the extensive research incomparing the Girls Aloud singers however I felt this challenge called for a bit more comparisons then just looking at common hairstyles Miley copied off of the Girls Aloud singers. Anyways for also only going into this and comparing hair styles, the title needed to be a "who wore it better" worthy article title. So with that said, it was an alright article. I didn't get a laugh out of it or anything, but it was simplistic and a great analysis was done for what you presented me

Scoreboard
1. Peaches - 82/90
2. Sub - 78/90
3. Euphorae - 71/90
4. Pears - 67/90
5. Jessie - 65/90
6. hello_world - 40/90
The winner of this very long challenge that was dragged out by my trip and a missing Editor round is Peaches! You will receive 3 points added to your total score next week.
As you saw, the Bottom Three are Pears, Jessie, and hello_world. The three of you had the lowest scores tonight, which means that one of you will go home. Only two of you will be put up for the Editor's Decision, however...One of you has been saved by your fellow contestants. Those that sent in ranks determined that, out of the three of you, hello_world was the best, with a contestant average of 2.6. Pears and Jessie, you two received averages of 3.3 and 3.0, respectively.
To Pears
I'm extremely disappointed to see you here right now. You're so capable, and we both know it. I think this was just an unfortunate slip on a bad night.
To Jessie
This makes me sad to see you here, because I don't think it was for lack of trying. You did miles better than your first round entry here, although not all of the Editors agreed, which is why your name is here right now.
This is a much harder decision than I expected to have to make tonight. Both of you have great potential, and it hurts knowing how hard you both tried this round. With that said, the person going home tonight is...
...
Jessie.
I wish so badly that some other flops had submitted so it didn't have to be you standing last tonight. There was no way for me to decide who would do better in the long term between you and Pears, so it all came down to cumulative averages from this round and last. You are not the Sleaziest, Jessie.
Pears, I hope now you see how close things can be in this competition. You have to bring your A game from here on out, or you'll be the one with a farewell paragraph.
hello_world, you best thank whichever God you prayed to. If it was up to the Editors, you would've left in a heartbeat this round. However, the save was up to the contestants, and you are who they chose, overall. I need you to prove to me that they didn't get it wrong.
With that, we are down to the Top Five! The next round is going to call on some of your wit, your deduction skills, and a nice dose of good old fashioned ATRL cattiness. Sleep tight, candidates.
Sleazy as ever,
Citrus

Three judges, contestant rankings, and then cumulative averages. The poor guy was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Like Ongina vs. Bebe Zahara Benet in Season 1 of Drag Race.

OMG YASSSSS.
I would like to thank the editors for picking me, my parents for creating me and the other contestants for sucking a bit.
My favorite line from my entry was "someone stop her before she crashes a plane and kill innocent people"
