I'm assuming you're a fan of Kristen Wiig. So I'm also going to assume you've seen her interviews and the way she reacts and responds in conversation. And, if you haven't, I have, and it's identical to how she "acts" in "Bridesmaids," but like I said, that worked for the character in the movie, but The Academy can see right through "acting-like-yourself acting," and don't reward such behaviour, and that's why Kristen Wiig wasn't nominated for an Oscar and Melissa McCarthy was.
