That part is so awesome, and it's the thing that really put Hyoyeon on my radar when I was learning the SNSD members. I wish Hyo got more moments like that, but I don't think SNSD will ever have that sort of music, and unfortunately the likelihood of a solo isn't that great.

So at least "Maxstep" will always be 'remember that one time where Hyoyeon had a main part in a song'.

SNSD members says they wish to record solo songs, so I think it's very possible considering won't want to let them go. Letting them have a little more control of their career will keep them happy

I don't know how SM would tackle that, though. I mean, every member having a solo track is a full K-Pop album in itself, let alone fitting them into a tracklist with group songs.

Although just imagine if SM ever released a 10 track SNSD album where the title was a group track and the rest were solos. That would be pretty cool, actually. Make it happen for their next significant anniversary album.

They could like what Kara did and just release an album full of solo member songs. Being a 9 member group it would actually be pretty close to a full album, and they could (as you said) have the title track be an OT9 track.

That would be cool. We'd get to see all the different colors of SNSD and their own personal interests.
