Black women are discriminated against, denied jobs, housing, targeted by police, etc for displaying hairstyles like braids. There is immense pressure in society for black women (and other women of colour too, but moreso black women because their hair texture tends to be so different) to assimilate into white standards of beauty. When white women wear them they are considered "trendy" and a fun, cute thing and don't see nearly as many negative effects. Why wouldn't black women be angry about that?
NOBODY wears Viking hats, a relic from literally 1000 years ago, and NOBODY is discriminated against for wearing them. It's a false, non-existent equivalent.
