Doesn't Wrapped In Red count also? Or not because it's a holiday album? If wrapped in red doesn't count this might be her last album with RCA, which I honestly doubt since she really seems in a happy place with them since Stronger. RCA really turned around.

Yeah, holiday albums don't count. Since Kelly's under a per album contract (in her case, 6 studio albums), she has to release the set number of albums, and each album must be mostly new material. It varies a little bit depending on the contract, but a
minimum of 51% (often more like 75%) of the album must be totally new original songs, not covers or traditional songs. That's why holiday albums - like Wrapped In Red - don't fulfill the contract. Same with greatest hits - those are 90% re-released singles, plus a few new ones.
So for Kelly, only her studio albums count: Thankful, Breakaway, MD, AIEW, and Stronger. And now her 6th and final full-length studio album will fulfill her contract.
(If she was under a per year contract, it wouldn't really matter what albums she put out, only the time that passed.)
I know Kelly was really excited to leave RCA as soon as her contract is up after album 6, but that was before Stronger when she said that. I'm not sure what she'll do now, since they've been treating her better. I guess it depends on how this next era goes. But if she does stay with them, it will definitely be with a shorter contract. The norm these days is only 1 or 2 albums for a contract. Bigger album deals (like 6, which she's had since 2002) are outdated now.
(I studied and work in music business btw. That's why I know this legal stuff haha.)
