The good thing (one of the only positives about The Sims 4) is that no CASt means we can have more Custom Content options:

Personally, I prefer The Sims 2 in which we can go deeper with Custom Content because the mod community don't have to make furniture compatible with all the skins in CASt.

My NOOB and RUSTY ass installed a giant mansion for my Supernatural coven, but man does being touched by the devil magic give you so many more alternatives for your needs. Beds? Who needs those when you've got sarcophaguses and ****ing fairy houses. Now I have 2 wasted bedrooms to use.

It was awesome for the time it was released.(Which is why it makes little to no sense that they are returning to this format for TS4, but HEY what do I know ) It had more of an iconic story line more than anything else tbh.

I love building big houses though. Sometimes I think I spend more time in build mode than actually playing the game.

I'm playing TS2 again and lord, I'm so not used to the old camera controls and grid system. TS3 got me so spoilT.

I made a single mother sim with a toddler and she's currently passed out into her cereal with the kid over somewhere wailing with a dirty diaper. The accuracy. I tried to make them poor and they actually are right now, which I always found rather difficult in TS3. All these 20-somethings moving into a nice mcmansion with like 5k left over, like....

This is actually my complain. You can't enjoy the game if there's always a need going red after another. I made a sim last week and her daily routine was: satisfying needs > work. She didn't even had time to train her skills, much less making the necessary friends to be promoted.
TS3 improved a lot this aspect, and it seems TS4 is gonna be the best at it. If the gameplay is not fun then it stops being a game.

I'm going to love building in this game. In TS3 I gave up after a few minutes I hate CASt as well. I'm so glad they got rid of it, more presets >>>

Also, the latest edition of the Sims 3 is the same. It won't let you play unless it can verify with Origin. So even if you hack the game and make it run outside Origin, the game will close because it's not able to be verified.

My plan is to get it on eBay anyway. I got The Sims 2 on eBay from Thailand for like $9 only days after it's release.

It will still be pretty easy to pirate the game. An admin on Games4theworld said that it may take a while for the Origin portion to be removed but it will happen.

What? It's pretty hard when you start from zero and with no cheats, I had a father and a daughter and both had to work while living in a tiny ass house with the shittiest furniture ever.
They had to eat their dinner on the toilet, the toilet!!

Ugh I wanted to play the free Sims 2 on my Mac via Parallels Desktop.. Everything went well, downloaded Origin, then the game, everything was fine until I started my first world and everything was glitchy and flickering, purple backgrounds, etc... Is anyone else playing on Parallels Desktop or something similar? Please help or I'll have to play on the family computer

My laptop is being worked on so afraid to use this desktop as a guinea pig.

They aren't really worth it tbh. Apparently these worlds even if they do load, have no Sims in them. And if you make them, you need under 200 at all times. The world would be so empty lol.

If you don't mind empty worlds though give it a shot

Someone made one that looks like San Andreas from GTAV.

I saw the Vice City one. Looks so good. But it loads easily cos there is nothing inside the buildings. At least it's playable.

They are doing it because TS3 worlds are extremely empty. Basically, you have more Sims this time. Playing the S2UC made me remember how much Sims used to come to your lot. Now there are only like 4. That's why they are doing it.

Even the PlayStation 2 games had like 20 Sims in one community lot

This is me. Which is why I'm less worried about open world. The amount of detail in the Sims 4 houses is amazing.

This is why I hated the Sims 3. It bored me. I went back and played Life Stories (I lost my Sims 2 discs)

I never had a problem? Especially when time would freeze when you left your lot. So you could do thing when they were happy and time wouldn't be wasted.

You could go to a community lot, make them all happy and go home and still have time for everything else like skill points, aspirations etc.

Ikr I can't wait to design a house on it. I love building houses on the Sims. I made some amazing houses in my day. I'm trying to make one now, but I miss my custom content.

It doesn't seem to work on my edition of the UC.
