I just went through that thread..I can't at the fact that it remained open for so long Once again the mods show their bias against Monsters and the people in there were just delusional, everything about that look is ARTPOP, she's been making it very clear Gaga is constantly on her mind, they really don't like each other and they really would like for the other to drop out of the industry tbh. I honestly don't get why the GP doesn't prefer Gaga, she's a lot more talented, fun, and kind

It's because Gaga has a pretty standard sound that she hasn't stayed away from (aside from You and I and some her jazz singles with Tony Bennett) and she is also rather intimidating due to her persona and styles. She also doesn't work well with her team anymore. Katy has a team of producers that know when styles shift (until recently) and she's never had a hardcore fanbase because she keeps herself open to the public.
Gaga thrived on mystery and aloofness when she started. It's also part of why she is currently underwhelming. It'll work out for her in the end of it all, as her fanbase is probably there until the day she is completely gone.
Basically, she should've done a Gaga version of BEYONCÉ
I remember sitting back and watching that, then being like "ugh....Gaga, girl this should've been you!" I'm sure she'll have her time though...someday.

Yeah, a mod (Ace Reject, I think) was even perched in there for a while. Mess. I think they just wanted both sides to cannibalize themselves though.
I definitely think Katy and Gaga dislike each other, and it's kind of hilarious to see them try to act like they're fine while they make thinly veiled digs at each other. Gaga is Kanye to Katy's Drake though. GP is never going to like someone they perceive to be a weird egomaniac, but that's ok. She just needs to make great music and get the critics back on her side again.
Gaga needs to keep the dreadlocks for her next era
they suit her so much. very Gaga
i agree it doesn't match the tour outfit though. i loved the way her wig and the lighting at the start of ARTPOP kept her face in the dark until she started singing
That would've been perfect for a project as ambitious sounding as ARTPOP (well as ambitious as we all thought it might be at first). It really could have added to it. I remember after listening to it after it first leaked and being all "wait...that's it?"
I also liked the idea of her adding little vignettes as intros, like the robot/spaceship stewardess voice in G.U.Y., or the apocalyptic big brother stuff in the beginning of MJH's demo. She's so theatrical that that sort of great, semi ridiculous OTT **** was what I was expecting of her. I was disappoint.
Yeah, sort of like he iTunes Festival.. she had instrumental segues.
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett have 22 Grammy's between them both.
Siiiiiiince we are in the c2c era they are a band now, so we can officially say that Gaga (and Tony) have 22 Grammys loooooord.

Katy knows fine well that it's neither believable nor endearing for her to say that she'd die for the art and her fans. Like she says, she is just an entertainer. People don't want more than that from her, nor is she willing or capable of offering it.
Whilst Gaga gets irritating with her grandiose waffle, you get that she bleeds passion. She ****ing LOVES this. For someone to adopt such an energetic and enigmatic persona indefinitely - you'd have to. She lives, breathes and sleeps fame, music and theatre. Plus, strategically, there's a lot of self-fulfilling prophecy going on. Associate "Lady Gaga" with "art", "talent", "music", "costumes", "fashion", "passion", "performing" etcccc. enough (regardless of reason), and guess what she becomes synonymous with? Have a think what her contemporaries are associated with.
Regarding fans, her actions speak louder than words - and that's saying something. On the marketing side of things, she has created a lifestyle brand that thousands of fans willingly buy into. It's not just music - it's fandom, it's an experience and it's a community. It definitely has its downsides (crazy obsessives, entitlement, alienating casuals etc.) but she invested enough into it all early on that she can largely just sit back and reap the rewards now. The ARTPOP era being a testament to that.
Whilst it may seem OTT, bizarre, and less immediately rewarding to some record labels/acts, they'll see the downside of pandering to the fickle public instead of establishing this brand and following when things go sour.
to all of this. I'm just waiting for a certain video to drop today to take someone off my sig, enough is enough.
Gaga bleeds for her fans. We truly are a family.

And not Asia being just a few months old and already on magazine covers, I can't wait for her dog food campaign
Anyway, maybe we should change our basename to Little Dinosaurs or something for the c2c era? They were monsters too and well quite old
