ARTPOP sold notably less than BTW so Gaga fans are bitter and lashing out with Katy. Reduced to a sentence.

I'm seeing a lot of Mariah up in here. Let's not get ha involved or you can count on both the monsters and the kats being dragged to the depths together.

Ok but Katy is still copying Gaga. Your fanbase's only defense is sales and charts. We're discussing the impact of the "flop" album ARTPOP on Gaga her contemporaries. Reading is essential sis

Laughing because Gaga failed to sell even 1/3rd of her last album's sales, failed to get a #1 single, failed to have more than 1 Top 10 hit (hit, don't try it with "Dope"), failed to go platinum, and failed to outdo Katy in literally anything when her fans were so sure that she had no chance a year ago proves that she fell very, very hard from her last era. Just 3 albums in, and she is already failing to go platinum and having to downgrade her tours.
You guys thought she was going to dominate the world with this era, and failed to live up to that statement in every single way. She herself once said that the album was going to be very commercialized and was meant to appeal to the mainstream market, yet it didn't manage to appeal to the market the way she thought it would. She suffered a drop of astronomical proportions over the course of one album, and that's beyond sad. Katy may not be selling as many albums as she was last era, but her 2 mega hit singles were among her biggest to date, and her tour is set to gross AT LEAST double what her last did.
So while Katy continues to grow, Gaga continues to sink in every single possible aspect, and there is no amount of denial that her fans can fall back on because she literally has nothing within the grasp of her heroin-ridden arms anymore.
Have a nice day.

People on this forum acting like Gaga's decline was so bad, they're living more comfortable than her. While y'all live barely making bill to bill, Stefani is able to give her own dog diamond jewelry. But I'm asleep.

I'm sure you were the one of the people saying "what is Artpop" when it was released, but pretend to have an understanding of it now

Gaga had nowhere to go but down, that's one of the downsides of being the biggest popstar in the world. Also, she didn't do as bad as ATRL makes it seem. ARTPOP selling close to 2 million in today's music market is pretty good, not the best but good enough.

I can get past the ARTPOP comparison but the verbatim use of "her artpop could mean anything" elevates it to ultra shady territory.
MTV, their shade revenge to Katy's VMA snub tweet.

Why do people make these types of comments? They're so ignorant. I got a Mercedes on my 17th birthday. Best believe my family is not barely making bill to bill

OMG this is what I've been thinking the whole thread. I mean the Kats being the new monsters of 2010-11 part.
People really need to chill a bit.

This thread is a ****ing mess there will never be peace which I'm 100% content with.
The Kats will always be the better and classier fanbase while the Little Monsturds continue to dig in the past for receipts and get more disgusting and bitter.
