Maroon 5 hasn't had a good single since "Makes Me Wonder" in 2007. "Maps" is dreadful. However, their second single,
"It Was Always You," is a step in the right direction. It's still dated (there's literally 34,628 songs out there like it), but the production is solid and it's the best single they've released since their sophomore album "It Won't Be Soon Before Long."
I think both Katy and Gaga are horrible sans a couple of songs but kii at the monsters comparing a newly released single to a song that comes in a 9 month album

In the only country where both TIHWD and G.U.Y. have been released, Australia, TIHWD peaked at #52 and G.U.Y. at #87 on iTunes. TIHWD is less of a flop.
