Marina & The Diamonds IN CAR CRASH after VMAs
It seems Marina & The Diamonds was in for a worse night than just losing 3 VMA awards. After the award show Marina got in a black car driven by her sister, Lafina Diamandis. The two sped off from the award show to avoid paparazzi. After a quick stop at the closest starbucks, the girls got back on their car and drove for a little while until they were rear ended at a red light. The car rolled forward into oncoming traffic where it was met by a car on the right side (the side Marina was on). The car wiped the left at a 90 degree angle where the front of the car was crashed into.
The girls were identified at the hospital, but some on lookers recognized Marina. At the hospital Marina was put into a medically induced coma due to life threatening head injuries. Her sister Lafina received minor injuries and was let go a few hours after checking into the hospital. The family of the two wasn't able to come to the hospital at the time but have flown over seas to be with Marina. When asked about their comments on the crash they did not respond.
A girl who recognized Marina at the crash tried to help the her and her sister: “Well I noticed her from the VMAs that had just happened and because she makes amazing music. It was just me and my friend who were watching the crash as pedestrians. I decided to call the police because they seemed like they were in a lot of trouble. I’ve never seen anything like that before, a huge celebrity almost dying in a crash. I'm lucky I wasn't crossing the road.”
