so are you with posting gunshots was snubbed after every category
Bitch now shut up, for real. I only said that it was unfair "Gunshots" didn't get a nomination even for a Best Collaboration award, and let's be real honey, it's the biggest collaboration so far this season.
And I have no idea why you had to bring up the fact that "Psycho" > "Gunshots", since we all know it, but let's not forget that "Gunshots" > some other videos that were nominated.
Azealia Floods the VMA Stage With Aquatic Performance
Azealia Banks performed her hit single Time to Hop Off on the VMA stage today. Along with this, Azealia opened her performance with her killer song and future single Floating Down. A special guest for the performance, Rita Ora even appeared on stage for the performance of Time to Hop Off. The stage for Azealia was lighted blue with shadows of waves and aquatic noises happening in the background. Behind Azealia stood 5 tall LED screens that showed images of water as blue shadowed lights filled the dimly lit room.
Azealia opened her performance with "Floating Down". And Azealia DID float down. Around and on top of the stage floating 20 or so feet in the air were glass orbs with dancers inside of them. The dancers were all very thin and spray painted a glittery white with blackout contacts and only their bare underwear. The trance/house beat to Floating Down began to kick in as Azealia floated down sitting in a clear glass hula hoop. Azealia's hair reached down to her butt and she wore a lace white Valentino bodysuit for the performance. Along with the bodysuit she wore matching heels and even a glorious mask that when removed revealed white glitter spray painted on her face.
Azealia began floating down on the hula hoop as she turned to her right and sang the song while turning dramatically. Along with this Azealia began to remove her mask and toss it into the crowd. On stage with Azealia was a immaculate waterfall that flowed over all LED screens in a particular way to not get them wet. As Azealia reached the floor, she stopped singing Floating Down and as the music stopped and all was heard were Azealia's Valentino lace boots hitting the floor as she hit the end of the runway and looked straight into the crowd. As Azealia sang "I'm floating down!" to the top of her lungs, Rita Ora began to appear from under the waterfalls flowing over the LED screens with smoke going everywhere.
As the camera was focusing on Rita, Azealia did a wardrobe change and ripped off the bottom portion of the lace bodysuit and stood with her long straight black hair and this lace leotard and glitter covered face. The waterfalls stopped as Azealia and Rita met center stage with the beat of Time to Hop Off beginning to play. As Azealia and Rita sang the first line the glass orbs the dancers were in exploded and the dancers all hung on bungee cords dangling just a few feet over the audience as they danced and flew over the crowd. Azealia and Rita stood on the stage and sung their hearts out to Time to Hop Off. During the last verse of Time to Hop Off rain began to fall from the stage and Azealia and Rita stood on opposite ends as pedestals hidden in the stage began to rise with them singing the last verse 20 feet in the air with rain falling on them. The performance immediately ended with a great audience reaction.
The stage started off dimly lit, and the crowd cheered loudly. After a minute they quieted down, and a throbbing synth could be heard. The stage began to glow red and red mist began to appear. The recognizable synth led of 'Fire Starter' began to play. The crowd roared in excitement, and Rita slowly ascended on a platform in the middle of the stage. She was wearing a red Alexander McQueen leotard covered in rubies. The leotard showed a lot of skin and flaunted Rita's perfect figure. Her hair was straightened and *hung around her like a blonde curtain. Her makeup was dark and her lips were red. She stood there for a couple of seconds as the 'Fire Starter' synth lead played on, the crowd screaming in anticipation.
She then yelled loudly, 'ARE YOU READY.' and the psychedelic rock chorus of 'Losing Me' kicked in and Rita began singing. The crowd sang along to the hit single, swaying side to side with smiles plastered on their faces. She launched into the second verse, and was joined onstage by four men that picked her up and carried her around as she sang the fiery breakup anthem. Some girls in the front row were crying in awe and joy, as the men carried Rita along the edges of the stage. She finished the verse, and quickly sang the bridge. She finished her powerful rendition of 'Losing Me' by holding out the last note for eight seconds, prompting the audience, both fans and celebs, to rise to their feet and applaud her.
When she finished the note, the men gently placed her on the stage, and she stood backing the crowd as they continued to cheer and clap. More mist covered the stage, and six female dancers dressed in black lingerie strutted slowly towards Rita and formed a circle around her. They snapped their fingers and the baseline of 'C*m Over Here' started playing. Rita began singing the opening lyrics, cooing the sexual one-liners as she writhed gently. At the pre-chorus, Rita and the backup dancers fell to the ground and stimulated intercourse as Rita sang the hook to the steamy bedroom anthem. The crowd cheered as Rita performed a split and slide across the ground. The performance ended with Rita performing long vocal runs reminiscent of an orgasmic cry. The audience applauded, and the dancers walked offstage. The drum of 'Time to Hop Off' started playing and Rita clapped her hands encouraging the crowd to do so to. Azealia could be heard talking over the drums and she walked onstage.*The pair then launched into a performance of their duet with the crowd cheering and singing along. The performance started off with Rita belting her verse as Azelia walked around the stage and occasionally repeating some of Rita’s lyrics. When it got to the chorus, both of them sang together and the audience clapped along. The performance ended with them standing back to back and fire pyro flaring on both sides of the stage. When they finished, Azealia and Rita took a bow and walked off stage.
