It wouldn't work for a category like Song of the Year, which goes to the original songwriters (to award the actual composition of the song), but obviously they're not coming for that category

That was the new category. Pop Duo/Group Performance - a combination of Pop Performance By a Duo Or Group with Vocals and Pop Collaboration with Vocals.
I don't think this a lock to win a Grammy in that category. They went with hits as nominees the last two years.

Idk, I think it depends because Grammys are Awards that also go to Writers and such, and if they aren't the writers of the song and it's from the writers from decades ago then I thought it's not eligible. But I know 'I Will Always Love You' got Whitney ha Grammy, but rules could've changed.

I have a feeling they will push one of Gaga's original songs - possibly this Paradise that she, Tony, and other journalists have mentioned. They'll likely want to milk this as much as possible.
I don't know if it will get a grammy, its a little short.. Possibly. Maybe there will be another great single Also we dont know if this is the lead single or a promo?? probably lead though
