Elton John and Burt Bacarach worked on that album. I kinda wish Mary would serve another album like that. I personally prefer it over My Life. It had a more grown-up/artistic feel to it.

She doesn't hate Daydream. She just doesn't have very fond memories since it lead to her divorce and the Grammy snub.

Mariah always performs Underneath the Stars, Fantasy, Always Be My Baby, and she even performed Looking In for the first time recently. She definitely has at least mixed feelings about it.

Pretty much, which is why BEYONCÉ is a non-factor. The only albums that are immediately recognizable to your 'average Joe' are Thriller, The Dark Side of the Moon, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Born in the USA.......maybe The Immaculate Collection (the name itself is pretty memorable), Nevermind in some circles......and......?? ?? People remember the songs, not the albums 99% of the time.

Daydream she got a little more control for herself, so she likes it the most of her pre-Butterfly albums.

She got to direct the Fantasy video, she got to have a remix with ODB, and she got to have a lot more personal songs and such on the album which is why she likes it compared to her other early albums.

But she still likely prefers Butterfly, Emancipation, Elusive, etc over most her early stuff.

That's completely relative to what you're talking about.

If you're asking me, Beyoncé has more classic songs around the world. Not going #1 in Botswana doesn't mean people won't remember it; just like going #1 in Botswana doesn't mean people will remember it. You as a Rihanna stan should know this.

Out of her 13 #1's, the only ones that still get attention anywhere are Umbrella, WFL, Only Girl & What's My Name.

Here in the US, a pop listener will know No One, Fallin' & MAYBE If I Ain't Got You; Whereas a pop listener will know Crazy in Love, Halo, Listen, Single Ladies, & Irreplaceable.

I guess Girl on Fire, but the song will be forgotten within a couple years (I hope, even tho i love it )

She wasn't really a puppet with Daydream , you could start to see her transition into r&b and hip hop more which she wanted to do . I mean as wrote her songs , she just didn't have control over what was released .. But that want a conflict until Buterrfly/Rainbow

Remixes with new vocals or a classic sample interpolation are a MARIAH thing.
