I honestly think people make too much out of the lip sync/not lip sync stuff. At the end of the day singing live at every concert is bound to take its toll if you don't really know how to sing in the case of Alicia Keys. You can tell because Alicia strains to get the vocal out even on the recorded version of her records. Beyonce has a stronger catalogue at this point. Alicia has a few hits here and there. Beyonce never had to have the record company launch her by buying her record sales for her.

Alicia is respected more because nearly everytime she goes on TV she plays piano, and that makes the general public think she's talented. Also, she's not very sexual and a lot of her music is adult contemporary friendly which means she appeals to older people.

I think you're getting respect mixed up with success. Alicia hasn't had a massive hit in a while, but people don't respect her any less.

Beyoncé receives more hate than Alicia because she is a bigger name and brand (there's no debating this) who, especially in this era, has pushed a lot more boundaries than Alicia.

You're not much of a dancer then....or have been on the decline much like Alicia's voice.

I've never seen Beyonce do any dancing on the level of say Janet Jackson or Jennifer Lopez or anything even remotely close.

She was. I studied vocal pedagogy before being familiar with Beyoncé's singing and she totally blew me away because she knew what she's doing to the absolute last bit of it. It's how I became a stan.

I love bey, I think she's among the most talented artists of her generation alongside Alicia but bey's abilities are hardly underrated.
Alicia does have the edge over her in that she creates her music from scratch whereas bey alters some harmonies and melodies here and there.
I see the point of bey's voice being an instrument but Alicia's is too. Ido think bey uses her voice better than alicia does hers but alicia can play the piano as well to compliment her voice and cover up her limitations.
Bey is talented but Alicia is more talented.

Beyonce has pushed more boundaries than Alicia. Alicia really isn't much of a musician according to my music industry friends. Compare Alicia playing the piano to Gaga....and it's no comparison. Gaga can really play the piano. Alicia not so much. At best she's an average pianist. I actually think Alicia may be overrated as an artist....
