Singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding, who is currently promoting her new single Asleep,
has starred in a cat commercial for Whiskas. Asleep is played in the background
through out this commercial. This is the first time that Ellie has worked with
Whiskas but it is not the first time that she help an animal charity. In the past,
she had worked with PETA and WWF. She also announced that she will do a concert
to help raise money for the WWF charity soon. Despite being busy promoting her
new single and upcoming album, she still finds time to help out. A few days ago,
she even went to a children's hospital and sang for them, and the week before that,
she sang for the #FreeTheNipple charity!
A dark apartment is shown as a woman in high heels turns on the light. She is revealed
to be Ellie Goulding, wearing a long black dress. The apartment looks very expensive and
modern. The living room has a white couch, a large digital TV, a glass table and a wooden
floor. Ellie sits on the couch and turns on the TV, her music video for Anything Could
Happen was playing MTV. A grey cat jumped up onto the couch beside Ellie. It was a girl
and she started meowing. Ellie pressed a button on the remote control and stood up.
The audio from Asleep was quietly playing in the background.
The next scene showed Ellie reaching into a shelf. She took out a packet of Whiskas,
opened it and put it into the cat's bowl. It had many different shapes and sizes and
was mostly brown. Ellie put the empty packet in a black bin and when the cat was done
eating, she lifted her up into her arms. They sat back on the couch as the screen turned
black. A close up of Ellie was shown with a black background. "For every packet of Whiskas
you buy, twenty cent will be donated to the WWF charity that helps to save rainforests all
over the world. If we cut down all the rainforests, then many species will have no place to
live and will go extinct." Ellie finished talking and the screen turned purple, showing the
Whiskas logo. Don't forget to buy Asleep on iTunes. Both remix EPs are available for just
four dollars!
G.R.L. Releases Snippet of Upcoming Official Single, "Afterparty"

After their Total Television Takeover, in which the girls performed at 14 TV shows (with the entire show list including Good Morning America, the Today Show, the Talk, Live! with Kelly and Michael, the View, American Idol, the X-Factor, America's Got Talent, the Voice, the Ellen DeGeneres Show, the David Letterman Show, the Jay Leno Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien and the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon) to promote their current buzz single "Free", G.R.L. announced that their official single would be "Afterparty", produced by Dr. Luke, Cirkut & Kool Kojak. As of this morning, a snippet was posted on their official website (and subsequently, their YouTube account) of "Afterparty", with a written announcement from the girls about the single:
"Hi!
So, we're extremely happy to release the first official snippet from our real single, titled "Afterparty". "Afterparty" was written by Łukasz Gottwald (the amazing Dr. Luke), Antonella Valdez (a friend from Tigerlily Recordings), Lauren Bennett (your FAVORITE member of G.R.L. ♥), Allan Grigg (producer Kool Kojak) and Henry Walter (Luke's BFF, Cirkut). It was also produced by Dr. Luke, Cirkut and Kool Kojak, who as you can see, all helped write the amazing song. It's such a great thing that we're totally proud of, and we're so happy to be able to give you guys a snippet of it. It's sad, though, because we can't give you an official release date (blame Robin... Or Lauren. Whoever you want), but at least you can enjoy this! Just know, the song is coming, and so is its video, which we've already started filming with amazing directors, Paul Hunter and Alex Herron, and it's going to be SO worth the wait. The video is something we love (even though, yeah, we can admit it's not the most original or innovative thing, but who cares as long as it's good?!), and you can look at videos like Taio Cruz's "Dirty Picture" or Afrojack & Eva Simons "Take Over Control" for major inspirations for the video. So far, filming's been great, and we're so happy about all of it. And that's about it. We hope you guys enjoy the snippet, and we hope you're looking forward to more material from us! Love you all!
- Lauren, Emmalyn, Simone, Natasha & Paula ♥"
PRE-CHORUS: 0:00 - 0:14
Things are boring the first time around
Let's go crazy and tear apart the whole town
We'll go to a place no one else has been
Let me show you where the fun really begins
CHORUS: 0:15 - 0:30
We'll get a bit wild at the afterparty
Things are about to get a little bit naughty
All the fun happens at the afterparty
Break the rules and get a little bit roudy
The snippet, which was 30 seconds in length, featured a synth-based pre-chorus, as listed in the lyrics posted below the official snippet on the girls' website, which lacked any percussion and seemed to be building up, followed by a brief pause before an electro house beat, listed as part of the chorus, hit, along with the girls melodically but quickly singing the four lines that made up the chorus. While the snippet was short, it caused a social media roar, with the snippet being posed all over Facebook and Twitter along with several other social media sites, and being reposted on Billboard's official website along with countless bloggers. Dr. Luke himself began to talk about the song, stating it's "probably [his] best work yet, and working with [G.R.L.] has been amazing. I'm looking forward to working with them more for their album." With the snippet out, its now only up to the opinion of the listeners.

Ellie performed seven of her biggest hits at a charity concert to help raise
money for WWF.
Setlist:
-Starry Eyed
-Your Song
-Lights
-Anything Could Happen
-Burn
-How Long Will I Love You
-Asleep
A crowd of fifty thousand was gathered around the circular stage. Tickets for this
concert were sold only a day before it started and it was already sold out. Each
ticket cost thirty dollars and fifty percent would go to the WWF charity. Ellie
raised three quarters of a million for WWF, the rest of the money was spread out
to ten different charities. The live band was in the center of the stage. The
piano and drums started playing. Smoke filled the stage as Ellie rose from underneath
it. She was wearing blu3 5h0rt5 and a bl2ck t 5h1rt. She was also holding a microphone
while singing her breakout hit in the UK called Starry Eyed. Two dancers were on the
stage and three screens, showing the Starry Eyed music video, were visible. Ellie and
the dancers did exactly the same moves as in the video.
The second song was Your Song, a cover of Elton John's hit single. Ellie Goulding's
version went to #2 in the UK and was her first platinum song. Ellie sang this song
with an acoustic guitar. Lights was the third song on the setlist. This song also peaked
at #2 but in the US. It went #1 on the end year list for most played songs on pop radio
and received a 4x platinum certification. This time, four dancers were on the stage.
Near the end of the song, lights of all different colors were shining over the stage and
the audience. Anything Could Happen was up next. During the bridge of the song, Ellie
sat at the drums and played them while singing. She sounded like she knew what she was doing
so she must have practiced a lot.
Ellie took a one minute break to drink some water. She returned and sang her first UK #1,
Burn. This song peaked in the Top 20 in the US and performed very well worldwide. There
was a lot of choreography during this performance but it looked easy. Only the piano was
playing when Ellie sang How Long Will I Love You. This was also a cover, released in
November 2013, serving as the official song for BBC Children in Need 2013 appeal. It's
still Top 100 on iTunes in the UK, eight months after its release. Her vocals were
very good in this song. Ellie finished the concert with her brand new single Asleep.
Asleep debuted at number nine on the worldwide charts but is expected to rise this week.
There was only a bit of dancing for this song, two backup singers helped Ellie with the
performance. The music video was playing on the three large screen. Ellie took pictures with
fans and signed some autographs after the concert. Buy Ellie's new single Asleep on iTunes
so it can go Top 3 on the CAL Charts

For a second, I thought they were entire, permanent stores and I was like "What items does she have that would warrant an entire store chain?" until I realized "pop up" meant those mini kiosk vendor type things.
