Dude, chill. It isn't that serious. I do like Katy and I'm not trashing her. Everything I said about Katy, i.e., what you already pointed out, was my honest opinion, but it wasn't shady and that doesn't mean I still don't like her. It just needs a feature. Like, if ever a Katy single NEEDED a feature, this one does. The song turns into a complete mess after the second chorus. Stick in a rap feature, repeat the chorus again, let it trail off for a few seconds and there you go. But that whole bring the beat back and messy structure is cringey

Why is everyone in this thread fuming? Capitol themselves said that this era will last for 2 Christmases and Katy is on tour until at least March which means that this era is not ending any time soon and there will still be more singles, regardless of This Is How We Do's performance. Capitol isn't just going to stop releasing singles from their most successful artist and even if a re-release does happen it won't happen until at least next Spring, which means that sixth, seventh, and maybe even eighth singles are likely. Katy said that this era is about more than just getting #1 hits and I think all she is trying to do is please everyone by releasing as many singles as possible. Walking on Air and Legendary Lovers are not summer songs and I'm sure both of them will be released later on in the era.

Yeah timing is really off this era (with Birthday and TIHWD) The video release (if it's good enough) after some radio support could have given at least a decent peak.

Obv and I agree, but for the GP, what's the deal with this specific song from Prism? A lot of fan favs turn out to not be hits and actually do the worst. So why would this song not follow that pattern?
