Is there some glitch in ITunes? I see some songs in top 10 that were not there last night.
Apple secretly ordered a music industry stimulus package in the middle of the night. They want to incentivize job growth & increase average household income by re-releasing Britney's indie inspirational anthem straight to the top of the singles chart. That's right, you better work, bitch.

"This Is How We Do" sounds like a hit, but so did "Birthday." Katy is obviously a hitmaker, but she proved that you won't ALWAYS be able to get a hit with a hit-ready song. I personally like TIHWD. If it flops, I don't see the point in releasing another single from PRISM. There's nothing left to smash and PRISM has hit a brick wall in sales anyway. The era has done well enough: a platinum-selling album, two #1s and two top 20 singles.

I'll be let down if there's no LL release: it's too good not to release. It could potentially underperform, but it could also become one of her bigger/biggest hits. Some songs are worth releasing just because they're THAT good and so many fans regard it universally as one of their best songs ever. The majority of Katy fans I notice on this site alone agree that LL is one of, if not the best, song on PRISM. I imagine that sentiment goes outside of ATRL as well.
