Ellie Goulding on Q102 (500+)

Ellie Goulding went into the Q102 radio station for an interview and to sing her new
single Asleep.
*Interviewer introduces Ellie*
Interviewer: So lets talk about your upcoming album, it's called Gould isn't it?
Ellie: Yes.
Interviewer: Is Asleep your favorite song from Gould?
Ellie: No, I love all the songs from the album but I picked it as the first single
because it's the most radio friendly. I want this album to do well so that I can
release my favorite songs. On Halcyon, My Blood and Don't Say A Word were my favorite
but they never got released, maybe it's because they were too risky so I don't want
that to happen with this album. I think there are better songs on the album though,
but that doesn't mean I don't love Asleep.
Interviewer: Can you reveal any song titles yet?
Ellie: Hmmmmm, the album is coming in ten days so I guess I can reveal one song title.
This is one of the first songs I wrote for the album, it's called Last Stand. I guess
you could say that it was inspired by Paramore's Last Hope because I listened to that
song a lot when I wrote Last Stand, but they're actually really different, they're
both uplifting songs.
Interviewer: And do you prefer this song over Asleep?
Ellie: Yes, it's one of the most experimental songs on the album. I didn't like it when
it was just a demo but Jim Eliot helped me make it perfect. Some of the lyrics were
kept the same but the instrumental was changed completely. It's really like nothing I've
ever done before.
Interviewer: How long did it take you to write the entire album?
Ellie: I started when I was on the Explosions Tour which was ten moths ago. I only wrote
a few songs back then but when the tour ended, I concentrated on writing. The album could
have been released April or May because I had enough songs but I wanted to make it perfect
so I kept on writing. I only finished it a few weeks ago, producing the songs was the
hardest part.
Interviewer: Do you have everything planned out for this album?
Ellie: I kinda do. I promote Asleep fully for three weeks, then I release the album and
promote it with Asleep. It should go platinum by then and the week after, I'll release
the second single. I think I'll promote the second single for three weeks just like Asleep
and then go on tour and still do promo for it. I think there will be a one month gap between
each single. If the album doesn't do well then I'll release three or four, but if it's a success
then there might be more. I'm not sure about a re-release yet.
Interviewer: Ok our time is up, Ellie will be back in one minute to perform her new single Asleep.
Ellie performed an acoustic version of her single Asleep. A guitarist and a pianist were playing
the instrumental.

Ellie Goulding on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (400+)
*Ellie enters the stage*
*audience claps*
JF: You recently visited sick children in a hospital and donated money but
this isn't the first time you did something like this is it?
Ellie: No, I love giving to charity, I've done it many times before but this time was
different, I got to spend time with the kids. I'm also planning on giving some money
to animal charities because I love animals and I'm vegan.
JF: Is it true that you didn't get on too well with your last label?
Ellie: We got on ok at first but they realy rushed me and wanted new material out when I
wasn't ready. I'm a bit glad that they went bankrupt because I'm with a better label now.
The only reason that my last lead single peaked higher was because there wasn't as much
competition as there is now. I think that Asleep could do well this week, there aren't that
many new singles out.
JF: Why did you stop promoting the album and finish the tour up so quickly?
Ellie: Because it was my least favorite album that I've made. It was really nothing compared
to Lights and Halcyon. I had to rush it so it didn't come out as well. That label released
a new single every week and would let me promote any longer. I just wanted to finish up
the tour and write a much better album which is what I did.
JF: Have you shot the music video for your next single yet?
Ellie: No, I will in a few days, it's really interesting, I know what it'll be about but I
haven't found the right director for this type of music video.
JF: Are you in a relationship right now?
Ellie: No not right now. I'm too busy but I might get a cat instead of a boyfriend
I'm obsessed with posting cat pictures on instagram!
JF: Stay with us to hear Ellie perform her new single Asleep.
Ellie started singing Asleep with four dancers on the stage. The first verse and chorus were
cut out and she began at the second verse. This was the extended version so Ellie sang the
third verse instead. There was a lot of dancing involved during the second chorus. In
the final chorus, glitter fell from the top of the stage. Ellie was covered in it and so was
the audience.

Ellie Goulding on The Voice (400+)

Ellie Goulding came onto the Voice on Friday night for an interesting performance of
her new single Asleep. Make sure to buy the song on iTunes and watch the performance
here:
The stage was dark and empty at the start but suddenly, a countdown could be heard.
An introductory video for Ellie Goulding was played. It showed snippets of her best
videos (Asleep, Starry Eyed, Goodness Gracious, Burn and Anything Could Happen)
along with records she made and her total single and album sales. This video ended
after thirty seconds and the Asleep music video began playing. It started past the third
minute of the video but was muted. The live band that consisted of a drummer, a guitarist,
a violinist and a pianist was now playing.
Ellie entered the stage wearing silver high heels, a black dress and golden hoop earrings.
She sang Asleep, her voice was calm and a bit quiet at the start. The stage was still
dark until the chorus. Behind Ellie, a candle was lit, and then another. There were twenty
candles and twenty people holding them. These candles lit up the stage and the people sang.
They were a live choir dressed in white robes. They didn't have microphones so Ellie was
still louder than them.
At the second verse, six dancers stepped onto the stage. Three of them had sticks that were
on fire and the other three had hula hoops that were on fire. They danced around the stage
and did many tricks. The put out the flames with their hands as the second chorus came on.
Two dancers came forward and put their hands out. Ellie stepped on them and was lifted up
into the air. She then fell backward as two other dancers caught her. For the bridge,
over twenty balloons fell down one by one. Ellie popped them all with a needle. When each
balloon was popped, water sprayed out of it and onto Ellie. The dancers disappeared off the
stage just as the final chorus started playing. The people from the choir slowly stepped forward
one by one. After a while it was clear that they were forming a circle around Ellie. At the
end of the song, Ellie kneeled down and couldn't be seen because the choir was blocking the
way. The candles went out and the stage was dark. The audience and judges clapped.

I'm going to be very busy for the next couple of months so there is definitely no way I'm going to be able to participate in CAL anymore. I've had a very good time playing. It's been a nice run.

Charli XCX on Good Day New York
__________________________________________________ ____________________
On this beautiful morning, Charli XCX stopped by Good Day New York for an hour long interview revolving around many things in her life right now such as her amazing career launch, her loving family, the Tokyo Lights tour which is rumored to be completely revamped soon and about music generally, the show was broadcasted live on Fox from the rooftop of a skyscraper in times square. after a small introduction to the audience, Charli arrived wearing a simple knee langth black dress with white heels and she also had a white cardigan on.
"It's been rumored for a few days that I'm working on revamping the Tokyo Lights Tour, which would be the reason I'm taking a break. I'm not sure if I can reveal much about it but yeah that's basically it. I'm re-working on it and changing it up. I think the show I've performed so far are greta, but I'm working on making it even better. The first dates of the re-vamped tour will start in Canada... or at leats that's what my Management told me". Charli said talking about her tour. "I can't be sure about the dates but it's supposed to start at the end of August.
After the long interview, Charli got up to perform a simple acoustic set wearing the same black dress but she removed her white cardigan. Her stage was set-up in a way the morning sun would make her look amazing. Her setlist was composed of songs from her album 'Devour My Heart'. The title track was the first song performed followed by 'Alone in the Dark' which Charli changed. She changed a few lyrics and some of the melodies and she called this version simply 'Alone'. After the new version of 'Alone in the Dark', Charli started singing the song titled 'Need You', which was brief but showed off Charli's vocal abilities. She ended her set with her brand new single 'Tokyo Lights', which was performed with a little bit more instrumental effects than the previous songs performed.

Charli XCX on American Idol
__________________________________________________ _______________
Just a few weeks ago Charli XCX performed 'Tokyo Lights' on American Idol as part of her promotion for the single 'Alone in the Dark'. The show's producers invited her to perform another performance on the show again since she brought in an amazing audience. Charli's performance as also promoted on Billboards, TV and on Internet ads to bring in the biggest audience possible. And Charli did. She brought in the biggest audience this whole American Idol season has seen.
She wore a red leotard with a white heart corset and black tight boots for the performance. After a small dancing intro that she did with the dancers, Charli started singing a high-pitched acapella of the song. Suddenly a more up-beat version of the instrumental of the song started. The crowd started screaming and Charli started doing an impressive choreography along with the 4 fierce female dancers. Charli also started singing energetically the first few verses before breaking out in an amazingly choreographed dance session with her dancers right before the chorus.
During the chorus, Charli simply stood up and sang the song in high-pitched but great notes. 'She surprised me with her vocals!" commented one of the viewers of the performance. "I really didn't know she had such amazing vocals and the song itself is just perfect too" he added. Charli's American Idol performance of 'Tokyo Lights was uploaded on American's Idol youtube channel and on Charli's personal Vevo account and 'Tokyo Lights' can either be purchased digitally and physically or streamed on Youtube, Vevo or Spotify.

Paris Hilton Signed To Toxic Records
Toxic Records began last year as Spears' personal label. Britney has been the sole artist signed to the label for the majority of its run; however, it seems as though that is about to change. Paris Hilton has been signed to Toxic Records and this information is being spread as a press release. Paris was on the Gimme Your Best (Bad Girl Mix) and featured in the music video for it, TMZ reports that Paris has been "dying to get back to her music career" ever since the occurrence. Paris & Britney released statements in the press release about the signing.
Britney: "Well at first it was just you know the bad girls thing with Paris and Lindsay but then Paris kept telling me that she really wanted to get back into the music world and she didn't know what record label to go to so I said she should come onto mine. Paris is very talented at picking great music I mean "Stars Are Blind" is one of the best pop records of all time. She has a great ear for good music and she really gets great producers so I think she can do really well if she tries her hardest, I'm happy to have her on the label! #BlondesDoItBetter"
Paris: "I've been wanting to get back into the music scene for like forever.. and when I did the bad girl remix it just made me that more excited. I have money to hire the best producers around and I definitely know a hit when I hear it, so I think I can make some really good pop music and kinda shock everyone especially under such a great label run by the princess of pop herself."

WORLD MUSIC AWARDS
Danity Kane performed at the 2014 World Music Awards with rap collaborator Tyga and global phenomenon Céline Dion last night. Singing a mash-up of "Rage" and "Lemonade" the girls put on the highlight performance of the night that everybody was talking about the next day. After the performance heavy inclines of all their material, even their old albums released with Bad Boy / Atlantic Records seemed to climb up the charts. Thanks to that performance 'DK3' charted #1 in sixty countries, with "Lemonade" and "Rage" being Top 20 in almost all of the sixty countries. Having "Lemonade" peak at only #8, the girls were still looking to promote it to scan Platinum somewhere down the line, and "Rage" + 'DK3' were just released this week, with the three making it clear since Sunday they're going to try their absolute hardest to make it go #1. The performance was very well received by critics and viewers, thus sparking the climb in iTunes mentioned above.
After being introduced by Fifth Harmony, the curtain opened to reveal the set of the stage. There were three huge pillars in the back of the stage, with the front of the stage not being revealed yet. The stage was cluttered with smoke as the three were revealed, one on each pillar as they started descending singing the song. They sang a more slowed-down version in the beginning, but returned to regular tempo after the chorus picked up. Every instrument featured on the studio version was in the live band, as they did an amazing job and the production crew got the lighting on-poinT with the mood and feel-good anthem of the party track. They stopped at the second chorus, coming down and getting down to “Lemonade” where Céline rapped Dawn’s opening verse as the crowd full out stanned. They headed out to the front of the stage where they began to work at a lemonade stand and Tyga was the main pimp. The music stopped and he asked the girls: “Where y’all been?” and Céline replied “Sorry, we were getting ready,” and Tyga looks at his watch, “Bitch it’s two hours past your shift. Whatever,” and he watches over the girls as they work up and the stand and gets lots of customers, but Tyga asked the customers to give him the money and not put it in the box of the girls’. After Shannon’s second pre-chorus he threw the money into the audience and rapped his rap flawlessly as he grinded against Céline and Danity Kane did the breakdown behind them. They ended their performance blowing kisses and strutting of the stage.
The five also did an interview backstage and it turns out the night had more in store for them. Danity Kane won an award for Best Comeback and Céline Dion won an award for Most Anticipated Comeback. They both walked up with Tyga and each other during each other’s speeches, as they were the ‘IT’-crew and all eyes were them the entire night. Backstage, Danity Kane revealed that their tour is going to be “amazing and worth the wait” and Céline confirmed that she’ll be making a game-changing announcement next week. “I’m so excited to return with new ****,” she told the interviewer. All five then left the scene, where they celebrated independently getting drunk in a studio, as they were listening to new Céline Dion music confirmed via Danity Kane’s Instagram account. You can purchase ‘DK3’ and “Rage” today.

Hey Lucky#17 I won't be able to write that stuff for the girl group takeover, my friend was in a pretty bad car crash and I'm going to stay with her so I probably won't be on for a while.
I'll try to get my promo list in soon iHype.
