Re-releasing and more #1's would still put her DEAD 2nd last behind Carly. The thread I'm gonna make later. Kii @ Brit 3 Top 10's + S&M.
I regard people who stan for taylor with a little disdain. I can't help it.
have you ever tried getting into her?
I only ask because I never really gave her much of a chance when I disliked her, and now that I really listened to her **** I enjoy it, she's got chops.
Iggy's album sales are the pits but she's done great on radio so far. To think just a few months ago she was a never-was.
Not a fan of her at all but it's unfair to compare her success to Nicki's debut Pink Friday. Do yall know how many songs Nicki was on before PF finally came on? TONS. From Bedrock to her album release was exactly a year. Bedrock, which introduced her, to the public went #2. Not bad for a rookie. Actually, I think it's still her highest charting single oddly enough. Starships and Superbass haven't outpeaked it.

All the songs people post from here her are terrible and they all sound the same

I didn't know Ke$ha outsold every Rihanna album except for GGGB and Loud
I mean minimal in terms of period of announcement to release. Jay had two weeks to do promo, Ye had about a month.
Yes they have name recognition but so does Damita Jean and she barely passed 100k.
I know it's not an apples-to-apples comparison but the point I'm making is that certain genres open with big numbers and certain ones need a bit more of a push?
Whatever we agree that Iggy sucks, lets just leave it at that lol
Britney has been gone for quite some time now. Kanye and Jay-Z are still very much functioning and have been far more consistent.
But TRULY selling albums, especially in this day and age, requires much more than demos/target audience. I don't see how anyone can argue that.

True and true. There's a difference between SELLING albums and pushing enough to justify your existence. Iggy isn't even doing the latter at this point, she's the lowest selling rapper in a while. That's my argument at the end of the day, and that comes from her inability to get the album buyers to accept her.
