I mean, the girl got married like 3 days before the release date and every single media wrote about her with the special emphasis on THE SINGLE IS OUT ON SUNDAY.

That was a huuuge promo for her and y'all who can't/don't want to notice it are delusional. It's the same as saying Chris Brown had no promo for his album when his naked photo "leaked" a few days before the album release It's all well-planned, and everyone does things like that, it's normal.

Newspaper headlines have next to no effect. You only need to look at Tulisa's chart positions to figure that out. Just as someone said on PopJustice a few days ago, many people know that Cheryl has just wed, but very few of them would be able to name her new single.

she did get married and lol no that does not count as promo. YES they were all talking about her/her name change/wedding but not her single/music. The only PROMO was over a month ago on BGT and Capital FM concert. HMMMM I guess we have different concepts of promo I guess, being a tabloid darling IS NOT IMO.

Maybe I'm delusional like you said but to me promo is going into shows and perform/discuss/talk about ur music not being on magazines talking about ur new marriage.

It wouldnt be unfair if the releases were normal like everwhere in the world. The ones that have been on sale/ have been on Spotify for longer have an advantage. In Cheryl's and Nicole's case they should've put it up on Spotify at least two weeks before it was released just like Rude has been.
