It wasn't convoluted or boring, it moved at a quick pace, it had a lot to say about social justice, and it was generally a well-constructed functional thriller.

It was SOOOOOO heavy-handed about social justice. And I'm sorry but the twists were definitely predictable.

Snowpiercer is much more ambitious (and far more encompassing than classism).
The Purge: Anarchy is a well-made small study. Snowpiercer is a well-made grand study, an accomplishment that's far more difficult to accomplish, but something that doesn't justify comparisons to Anarchy.
Snowpiercer will probably be the best movie of 2014 when all the dust settles. It's Kubrick-good.

How's it unfair? They're both films and both of the action genre. Just because one is far superior doesn't mean I'm not allowed to compare.
