In the rear view, Born This Way is such a strong album.

It's a standard, but good, pop album and none of it is boring or un-listenable.
To be turned off someone's music because of the person behind it kind of defeats the purpose of music. It's not about celebrating that person, it's about enjoying music and finding solace/pleasure within its words, melodies, hooks, sonics etc.
Of course it's not like people undyingly love everything Gaga does because she is the most polarazing popstar, but apart from the usual overhyping (50% of which was done by the fans themselves) it wasn't really a letdown... was it?

Yeah, well unfortunately the biggest fans/stans tend to be easily persuaded by how well or poorly an album or song does. On ATRL especially, the most fervent fans tend to be ones that stan for success, which is proven when they jump ship the moment success diminishes. Most of these stans claim they don't care about success, but going from bragging about IFPI receipts to dragging someone after they stopped landing at the top of the yearly IFPI report, is kind of fishy to me. ARTPOP is the album everyone told her to make until she made it and it didn't work out.

I already gave her Artpop and she bought Born This Way last night (she already had TF+M). Anyways, she said her favorites were Dope, Sexxx Dreams, Heavy Metal Lover, and Bad Kids ( ).

That's so awesome.

Am I the only one who thinks ARTPOP era would have slayed if Gaga got to do it her way? I wonder what she had planned for the entire era.. Guess we'll never know

Yesterday I was in the audience of a Spanish talent show where kids, accompanied by an adult, cover famous duet songs. They have to be dressed like the original artists, do the choreo and everything. Guess what song was the first one performed: Telephone!! Yes it was such a surprise to me. The little girl and her mentor did it so well, I was impressed. And I'm not supposed to reveal this but that was the winning performance of the night When they air the show I'll post the performance, and maybe you'll see me clapping like crazy in the audience haha

Omg yes I still tell my other friends about our tinychats and stuff! Ra2 (Tim) doesn't get on here much I think he's bored of it, same with TheLlamaNetwork (Ryan) he's on to becoming a producer. I definitely miss those nights I still get on here pretty often though.

Yeah I think that incident kind of threw him off a bit and now he's doing his own thing on facebook. He still likes Gaga though, I just don't think he'll be getting back on here anytime soon.

Definitely, although if the hip break hadn't happened it would have probably helped because she wouldn't have gotten paranoid about her work.
By the way she was talking about it in 2012 she had EVERYTHING planned out, they knew what the lead single was going to be (it obviously changed last minute) the fibre optic wig was meant to be in the video, the app actually had a purpose, it all sounded promising.
The label interfering means we get watered down half assed gaga, whereas when they piss off we get G.U.Yga hopefully the next era goes exactly to plan

Seriously though, the bridge of Marry the Night (including the "come one and run!" portion) is truly the magnum opus of her career thus far in my honest opinion. It is everything that I could want and more. It's catchy. It's deep. It's sad. It's happy. It can be meaningful, or it can be meaningless. It can bring you up from the pit of despair, but can also pull you back down simply by reminding you of its existence. It is truly everything. I don't think I've ever felt such a wide range of emotions over such an extended period of time for any other song, never mind any other songs's bridge. I'm getting a little emotional right now just thinking about it.

I love the bridge so much
I love every song on BTW but I always skip those bonus tracks

ARTPOP isn't awful, but isn't good. Some tracks on it are worth listening to. All in all the album is a disappointment and reflects Gaga's decline as an artist, but it is nothing to hate her for. She made a mistake, and I only hope she learns from it. She can't be on top all the time, but she can learn...Whatever ills ARTPOP has (and there are many) I hope aren't on her next album,

I need album 5 really soon, thinking about it. I just want everyone to forget about ARTPOP, as much as it's given me some amazing memories and classic Gaga songs (Applause, DWUW, Sexxx Dreams, Gypsy, Venus) it's just turned everyone against Gaga.
I just want an album that brings in the crtitics, that's actually all I care for. As far as I'm concerned, she can pull 100,000 <, since I actually don't mind what she sells, as long as she gives us a cohesive, planned out album and era that has a clear direction, message, and visuals.
In the mean time though, we could possibly get some more of JazzGa's voice on Monday if someone sneaks a recorder into the TV Special (which they almost definitely will).

ARTPOP did not turn everyone against her. She did that to herself with BTW era.

Well, if anything, ARTPOP cemented it and didn't make it better
C2C could actually be the saving grace of her career, allowing her to see the public a Lady Gaga-less era and allow her to come back with a somewhat clean slate
