Rem has a point; a live show probably would attract more of an audience, but idk, I feel like there'd be too much of a risk if we did a live show, and Idk how it'd even be hosted.
|
The most that he'd be doing really is posting a link to it and even if it was a pre-recorded show that he just posted on here, the blogs section is where it would be posted because that's where you can promote your own off site stuff. There really is no difference between that and posting a live performance if you're referring to the rules on censored words.

And I was thinking of a pre-recorded pod-cast and not a live show Rem.
I mean it could be fun, we could do album reviews, talk about the latest tragic outfit, maybe talk about ATRL in general. I think the best part will be requesting topics/giving people shout-outs or letting them contribute. If y'all are serious I can send a help request and see if we'd be allowed to do it.

I agree, the best way to make this a success would be to make it as interactive as possible. People love to listen/watch something they are a part of or have contributed to, it'll make them feel more special as a listener and make it more unique than any other pop podcast they could download. If you guys end up going through with this, I'd gladly help you compile ideas and whatnot.

fff I'd always just give away a few coins or something. I'd never risk a throne. What a lot of people do these days is make it a lot more listeners so it'll be harder to get there, but they'll deserve it more.
|
Yeah, that was a bit of exaggeration, I never even owned a throne.

I actually used to kind of be e-popular on Habbo tho. I made habbo music videos and was the first one to get over 1,000 subs on their YouTube page out of those that made them (you'd be surprised by how many did.) I believe I got to about 1.5k subscribers and 500k views before it was suspended for copyright. I was also popular for making a character named Noobinah P***ypillow, whom is basically the dirty, NSFW version of Madea.

Hm. I never thought to put this in the blogs. A lot of people don't really use the blog section, though; I don't know how much visibility it'd get.
I was referring to any infringement upon the rules, though. Making a super flamebaity comment would still probably warrant a flamebait warning even if the audio is hosted on another site.

It would get as much visibility as you want it to get. Promo is promo.
Regarding the flamebait thing, that's not an issue. That's like saying because members have said some flamebait things on YouTube, which they have, that they should be reprimanded here and that's just not possible.
All i'm saying is, there's a way around everything.

But yeah I agree, we could do like polls on SurveyMonkey and stuff about like "do you like Rihannas new single" and it would all be private so we could reveal results in the podcast and stuff. Get people to record themselves giving a review or promoting something etc and put that in. Do like debates and discussions about music and atrl, it'd be fun.

The last time I was online (before just now) was to walk around dressed an HC hooker promoting Work Work.
Looks like my HC ran out, but I'm still rocking the appropriate look.
What if you guys did it live on some type of site that allows you to broadcast but doesn't have a chat? If you guys didn't connect it with ATRL by calling it something like "Total Request Podcast" or something, then you wouldn't have to worry about any legal issues being brought up to ATRL, just whatever the hosting site is. Either way, it'll be a fun, new experience. I think it goes without saying that you would need to recruit guests each week like Ace Reject and other popular people.

Your profile looks nice, I love the little Rick dancing on a speaker.
I wonder why our paths never crossed, our registration dates were around the same time.
Probably because I was a flop who just trolled A's Adoption Agency and stuck with a small group of friends.

fff I suppose I've had better profiles but I haven't changed it in a long time since nobody looks at them anymore.
and oop, I remember A and ha adoption + gym + other rooms. I would troll in those sometimes as well back when they were popular. I remember seeing A in a room and recording a video saying hi as if they were some big celeb, when they were just a popular habbo.

Well I mean, are you gonna archive previous shows or something? Otherwise it won't matter unless a mod listens to every single show, which might not happen.
But once again, we just need host(s) that isn't going to be shady, won't drag and will restrict themselves from going too far. Maybe we should just leave this to the mods since they've done this before and made it work. Plus they could possibly embed it into the site like before and make it have a comeback.

People don't visit the blogs as often as they visit the main boards. It would get like a tenth of the exposure.
And that's not really true. If I were to record myself saying something like "Beyonce bathes in bleach" and then post that in a vocaroo in this thread, you know I'd be warned.

I've had multiple accounts before that, though. My first one was Mattyboyused that joined in June 2005, but then I never used it afterwards, joined Habbo again, and I was a huge mess so I got permabanned multiple times. HabboBoredom is the one I've had the longest by far.

Trying to associate flamebait with the podcast is more trouble than it's worth, and would totally ruin any credibility of the show. I'd actually like to see the podcast be open and enjoyable by everyone, not just a small fraction of people who post in SYG. If I wanted to see artists get attacked I'd just search through the #Soundcloud #clapback hashtags on Twitter.

That doesn't surprise me at all.
Pretending to be an baby and then attacking my parents became like my full-time job in 2008.

I highly doubt the members who dragged others on YouTube logged in to see WP'S because of it

There's a difference in intent. If you did that, it was intended on being solely for this site whereas something like a vlog or radio show is not something that's being done for the sole purpose of the site but rather for pleasure that it's open for members to view if they so chose but I doubt you guys are understanding what I mean by all of this so yeah that's the end of the conversation.

Yeah, ideally we wouldn't have to worry about this sort of shady stuff, it's just that idk how many people would stay interested if it weren't shady. ATRL lives for the clapback.

Habbo was everything and absolute life. Now they're trying too hard to be modern and made a lot of things boring with their updates. You joined the party too late, sis.

Yep, I was totally into Neopets. That's the main reason I found out about Habbo, too, because it was advertised on their site. I loved playing their mini games, collecting avatars, daily prizes and stuff like that. The message boards were kinda good too at times, but I'd get in trouble over there sometimes. Unfortunately they're also part of the sites that ruined themselves by becoming more modern and having bad updates.

I took the English portion of my placement test and I don't know if the lady was exaggerating but when she saw my test score she went nuts and said she hasn't seen a score that high in a long time...
