I genuinely believe so. The performance that Sandra gave was so layered and complex, just like the movie. That may not have been the main draw, but it was certainly a subtlety that wasn't lost on most of the audience.

Gravity is a rare example of all elements of a film working in perfect harmony. I still adore it.
