We'll get a bit wild at the afterparty
Things are about to get a little bit roudy
All the fun happens at the afterparty
Break the rules and get a little bit naughty
The brand new lead single from Neon Jungle's upcoming first album release under Tigerlily Recordings was made available for pre-order on iTunes today after the girls tweeted from their official Twitter, a link to pre-order the song. Immediately the song sky-rocketed up the charts, topping the iTunes charts in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Other countries the song climbed right into the top five, immediately becoming their biggest hit globally as it is their first. But perhaps most of the global success came from the artist who is also on the track with the girls. That person is label mate Taylor Swift.
The song was written by Taylor Swift herself, pop songwriter Antonella Valdez, and Ryan Tedder. Produced by Tedder and Swift, the song lasts four minutes and two seconds and describes the fall out of a relationship and when someone's had enough of people making decisions for them. "The song is just something Ryan, Antonella, and I came up with one day we were in the studio writing for Neon Jungle. I knew the sound they wanted to sing and I have this weird talent of being able to write any genre I want. So I went in and recorded this amazing dance house slash electro pop song. It's really fun and I think it could end up being a good success for the girls."
The girls also commented about the feature. "We had a choice for our lead single. We could go at it alone or sort of get radios to open up to us by having an established artist on our record. With that being said we immediately thought of Taylor. I mean she' d already written about four songs for our record so it was a pretty simple decision." Asami told fans in a YouTube stream earlier today. The song is expected to drop this Sunday to iTunes as it currently sits in the top three on iTunes off of pre-orders.
