In a shocking turn of events, Céline Dion has been back on the scene and promoting non-stop, even dropping new material that will not appear on her highly-anticipated career-changing album, '#TurntUp'. The lead single from '#TurntUp', "Ratchette" has become one of the most historic singles in the history of CAL. Selling a combined total of over 1 Million copies in its peak week between the Barbra Streisand feature and the Danity Kane remix, the song became Céline's first #1 hit in over a decade and Revolution Records' first #1 single. This was mostly fueled by the infamous death of Barbra Streisand. For those of you who may not know - while performing at the European Music Awards last year for the first time together, Barbra Streisand pulled out a knife and made an attempt to murder Céline. So what happened? Céline was able to dodge the knife and then pushed Barbra Streisand off the forty-foot structure they were performing on. This scandal then caused Céline to be transported to prisons in Amsterdam, London and then Canada for a few days. She even performed "Ratchette" from her jail cell in London to keep it moving! However, Céline's self defense act had many people pressed. Sources from the FBI began to edit all footage of the EMAs to cut out the part where Barbra pulled out the knife, and the only evidence that remained was Céline pushing Barbra off the structure. Céline was tried for the case, however in a shocking twist, Barbra's grandson-in-law was unveiled to be the mastermind of this footage mass deletion since he was in the CIA. After that, Céline was a free woman. She was on the brink of releasing her second single, and album in February, however Revolution Records went on another hiatus screwing up all the plans. Now, Céline is back this summer to deliver once again. Having feature on a remix of Danity Kane's "Lemonade", she has been promoting with the girls to help them out a bit and hype herself back up. She has also opened for Britney Spears in London, debuting two new songs, "Dis Bae" and "Lick It Up" which is odd considering we already have the track list for '#TurntUp' and neither appear on it. Next, Céline is set to open for Azealia Banks worldwide, premiering even more new music. However, she will not let "Ratchette" sit and die. The track has been re-released, and will be eligible for charting with all of the promotion she has been doing. '#TurntUp', both the album and title track, are set to be released in September. However, Céline has given us the impression that she may have another trick up her sleeve. Stay tuned!
