Sad that You and I is more remembered than The Edge of Glory (well, not really, because YAI is an awesome song). Shows how important having a semi-decent music video is.

In the US? Maybe (not really tho) but You and I is one of her least known singles WW
Also it's a decent video with less views than TEOG.

By that logic TEOG should be remembered a lot more than Y&I tbh
Honestly I hope Katy wins a Grammy next year so y'all can shut up.
Also, "Applause" is definitely a Gaga classic in the GP's eyes. If you go up to anybody who generally knows about pop culture, and ask them to sing a little of it, I guarantee most people will know it.
You and I was such a great era, aside from that Jo Calderone mess. Beautiful performances, she seemed very happy and cheerful, and Midwest America opened up to the "Do What U Want" hit maker herself.
The Gaga songs the GP remembers are Poker Face, Bad Romance, Telephone and Paparazzi.
And The Edge Of Glory. Y'all underestimate TEOG.

TEOG even with its awful music video is a lot more known.
No offense but don't we consider most hits from the US perspective? Some people tried telling me Just Dance and Applause were local and I could just barely contain myself.
Anyways, I don't really see the point in shading Katy Perry these days because she is one of the few people to say good, positive, and nice things about Gags this whole era. Maybe it was passive aggressiveness but I don't get that vibe from her.

She's said some very shady stuff as well though,, but I think most people are just joking and not really saying it out of hate.. I like Katy,, have tickets to her tour, doesn't mean I won't make an occasional joke about her, I do the same for Gaga or any other pop girl if the opportunity presents itself

I don't. If i did i would be ignoring more than half of Gaga's success in her career.
People from outside the US exist and also buy and make most of artists income. It's true that the US may be the biggest market (if it still is) but that doesn't change anything imo.

That will not happen
and yes Applause is a classic in Gaga's discography

Oh, yes, I know she has (especially when Gaga was on top of everyone). And I know most people here in the base aren't serious but some people are very serious and it's just kinda to me. You could make a small list of the people who have supported Gaga while she has been struggling and Katy is one of them! Anyways, Rick Rubin as producer for Album 5! Are we all in agreement?
