It was a re-run of this interview she had with Ellen in November. There are other videos in the channel.
Boo. I told her I will watch it with her on Thursday since I was completely bewildered. She's not a stan at all btw. She said, as she herself is a musician, that she felt more respect for her and her craft. Was kinda hoping a tell-all expose happened this week and I missed it.
Everything on Applause is on point actually, don't change the theme, just change the lyrics on verses which are so hard to understand.
The theme is very weak. She's answering the critics, admiring her fans, and professing her love for art and pop culture. She lives for the fame her fans give her, only we've been down that road before and it was done 100x better. It doesn't feel like a love song to her fans, but an excuse to justify Born This Way and all the criticism she has received since then. Maybe, just maybe, if she talked about how she was on top and fell off in a sincere way then it would have worked. Decay of the blonde pop star.
The Fame song worked so well and actually took us there, lyrically. While Applause (theme) goes no where because she tried to over complicate the theme. Just a simple record, Stefani, is all it takes. And simple doesn't mean basic ass lyrics either.
Since C2C will complete her contract with Interscope, do you think it's time for a Greatest Hits?
Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, Telephone, Alejandro, Born This Way, EOG, Y+I, Applause, DWUW, one song from C2C, and a couple of new releases. Build up her legacy before coming out with a completely new look and sound for #5.
Let's pray that we have an album that all songs are stripped down or toned down, 4 albums are enough for loud noises, let's lessen it next time Gaga! But I'm not wishing for boreFEST album tho. At least midtempos, RnB or slow songs
That's what I believe she meant when she said CTC would be the end of the beginning of her career and artRave being a goodbye celebration to her past. I feel like ARTPOP will be her last electronic pop / EDM album. She has done that sound for four albums now, and I definitely see her completely re-inventing her sound coming off CTC. We also saw how Elton and now Tony, people in her circle she highly respects, are rooting for her to do a stripped back, raw album because they know the length of her talent and vocal ability, which is hard to display in EDM as the production eats everything up. So I think she will follow their advice and hopefully the positive reaction surrounding CTC when it drops.

Apart from those huge shoes, it's really refreshing to see Lady Gaga look like the girl next door for a change. She should go for this look more often, she's actually naturally beautiful and doesn't need all the fancy crazy outfits and whatnot. She also seems humble and symphatetic and I love how she includes the audience in her conversation with Ellen.
true tho
And with this

I don't think the "pain" she's talking about has anything to do with bullying or money, because her family is rich, and the pain she's talking about is the pain she endured to get into the music industry, which is her sacrificing her friend Lina Morgana and stealing her image. She has to experience pain because she killed her best friend for the fame. "I killed my former friend"
It's weird to think that Gaga will be in her 30s and possibly married (she's been talking a lot about Bridal and + that psychic predicted it) by the time #5 drops.
Perfect time for an R&B/Adult Contemporary reinvention tbh.

It's not a good idea i think.. not now. She needs new hits songs and a new WW hit album for that.
I know people like to use those Versace pictures to drag her (and some of them really are kinda funny and tragic) but she really is not that ugly in them for someone wearing minimal makeup, pale lipstick, and 24-hours+ without sleep. Kinda inspiring tbh.

You have some strong points tho. But we have nothing else to do but to take it and accept it. Applause is a cute/crazy timeless bop tho.

This tbh. I really wish Gaga realizes this too and record music that will speak to itself.
I remember there was a time people thought Applause wouldn't be able to reach platinum and now the good sis is still climbing on iTunes almost a year after release fighting for 3x platinum.
i dont stan for gaga but i kinda love her tbh, and heavy metal lover happened to be playing when this super hot supposedly straight friend last year let me know he wasnt v straight in the most amazing way possible so she holds a special place in my heart
