Demi Lovato stopped by Kelly and Michael to promote her new single “Critical”
Michael: Demi, how are you?
Demi: I’m good! And you?
Michael: I’m all right! Let’s talk about you. After releasing your music video, it seems like you just left the radar. What happened?
Demi: Uhmmm, you know I am a busy girl. I’ve been working on my album, doing shooting, and just preparing a lot of surprises for the coming weeks.
Michael: so, let us talk about your new single “Critical”. What inspired it?
Demi: it’s actually an old boyfriend of mine. Actually, we were really not in a relationship. I think, in his mind, he just sort of thought we were. It was becoming annoying, crossing the line too many times, and at some points, I just couldn’t take it. So I wrote the song “Critical”
Michael: WOW! That’s really interesting and you will be performing for us right?
Demi: definitely!
Michael: backstage, you told me about a funny encounter you had with Miss Whoopi Goldberg.
Demi: yes! I am a big Whoopi fan and then I ran into her backstage at a gig I was and I just couldn’t say anything, I completely froze. She asked me, “aren’t you Demi Lovato?” and I was like “you know me?” It was just the best experience I have had in my life.
Michael: WOW! That’s insane. You talked about upcoming projects, is there anyone you can reveal?
Demi: well, I will say this. My album is coming sooner than you think and it is FIRE!, I cannot wait for my fans to hear what I have been working on. It’s just a very special project.
Michael: it’s been incredibly amazing having you here with us. You have to sing now I believe.
Demi: Yes, yes I do.
Michael: OKAY! , everybody, I present to you, the beautiful, talented, amazing, and incredibly beautiful “DEMI LOVATO!!!!!”
Demi then goes to sing Critical with her band. It was a simple yet touching performance and at the end of the performance, the audience roared with applause.
