I'll say more later, but the level of discourse has to be raised.
Especially the way some of you speak to me/supa.
Like, come the **** on.

I kinda second this. I mean, I get people really want to host rates but there's a difference between being eager and being rude.

Ace, I'm gonna tell you a story. For the last few months, so much had been going on in my life. I became overwhelmed and wasn't handling all of the stress and pressure really well. It was like I was a puzzleboard, and someone threw all of the pieces on me, but without putting them in order. But today, it really seems as if the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place.
Although.... one piece is still missing. And I think you know what it is.

Wow, that would've been a great rate for August to host.
But anyway, you're so welcome. I know how you could repay me.

4. Rebecca & Fiona
5. Shampoo
GIRL POWER: Trio
1. TLC
2. Destiny's Child

2. Teen
3. Warpaint
4. Dum Dum Girls
5.
GIRL POWER: One Woman Army
1. Beyonce
2. Madonna
3.
4.
5.
The idea needs suggestions, obviously. Mainly for rate titles and who should be included. Though I definitely want a mix of established favorites and new artists I'd like people to listen to.
Also, I'm leaning towards the rates being composed of singles.
And as far as the "One Woman Army" rate, it could be omitted easily. However, if it got the green light, I want the women in that rate to be women who are seen as powerful and/or have made some kind of name for themselves in feminism.
OH and I wouldn't want to host every single one. I have dibs on the duo one though.
|
Need more on this, as this feels very similar to other ongoing series.

As I sit in bed, eating my vegan, gluten-free, 30% less fat Veggie sticks I have to ponder. "Jesus says yes, but Ace says no. Why, Christ?" When will it be my time? When will glory prevail?

Who would be in 2002 again?
P+J tells me some combo of Missy, Eminem, Beck, Wilco, The Streets, Bruce and Sleater-Kinney. Will that drag the kids in? Might have to add Coldplay or The Flaming Lips.

Or you! Y'all battle it out, but it would be Babes/the Aloud/Sophie/Roisin. Those were the pop albums of note in 2007! Can't wait for If You Go and Crocodile Tears to slay.
