Yas i love that scene, I think this was what made me stan for Storm (and Halle nnn) I think she was a bit under used in X2, the tornados were cool and all, but thats about it all she does, apart from baby-sitting the irreverent X-Children

But i was not here Storm getting clockedT like that
The part where she is punching Caslisto with lightning strikes is really cool, but I would of cringed if the part where juggernaut head was spazzing out from the shock was actually in the film
This was th eoriginal plan for X Men Th elast Stand. If Fox wasn't so damn impatient we would have witnessed this:

If you're not a comics geek, that is an issue from one of the greatest story lines ever: "The Dark Phoenix Saga." And, sure enough, this was precisely where Bryan Singer wanted the third movie to pick up from, as it was exactly where X2 left off.
According to X2 screenwriter Michael Dougherty, The Last Stand was supposed to come off as a goddamn monster movie: "The idea was that you open up with Alkali Lake but it's completely barren and dried up and there are these odd reports of strange phenomena going on around the world accompanied by bright lights in the sky." You know, such as ships getting torn in two ...
... and San Francisco getting ****ing destroyed:
Instead of being shoved into the corner like Jennifer Grey, the second coming of Jean Grey/Phoenix was supposed to be heralded as if "a very god-like force had entered their reality ... causing disruptions around the world." In nerd terms, instead of X-Men: The Last Stand, you would have gotten X-Men: The Best Movie Ever, with a three-way war for control of Phoenix between the X-Men, Magneto's Brotherhood and the same Hellfire Club that would eventually be recycled into X-Men: First Class.

“The idea would be that both the X-Men and the Brotherhood realize that essentially a very god-like force had entered their reality and that it was causing disruptions around the world – mutant prisons being decimated. I had pitched an idea about a fleet of cargo ships getting torn apart in the Atlantic and you found out that they were shuttling mutants as slave labor.”
“So basically you found out was that Phoenix was going round the world taking things into her own hands and that she had basically returned as a god, which they did touch upon in X3. She had viewed herself as above the conflict, that she was here to end things on her terms, she was basically sick of the fighting and she was going to take things into her own hands and she didn’t give a **** what the X-Men or the Brotherhood had to say about it.”[/QUOTE]

“The one idea that I loved, that I really wanted to do, was that Cyclops would build the Danger Room. Cyclops felt guilty, he felt that because the X-Men were too weak, they weren’t strong enough, they weren’t fast enough, that was the reason Jean died. If they were a little bit better at fighting, then she might still be alive. It was all about this guilt he had about her death and so he built the Danger Room to train them to be better. But in the end it really was about him not being able to let go of her, so that causes all the chaos and disruption in the movie. But in the end it’s about him letting her go.”
“Ultimately she kind of becomes that cosmic force that Phoenix is known to be, she choose to leave Earth and become a god, or at least a higher level of intelligence, and she goes into the cosmos possibly to kick-start life somewhere else… The final scene for me would have been her telling Cyclops or her telling the X-Men ‘I’ll be watching.’ Essentially she becomes a god.”

I THIS MAKES ME SO DAMN SAD TO READ IT
I hate you Fox
at least with the Phoenix saga being removed from the timeline, its not impossible for it to be done again, although they need to do it before the PERFECT Famke gets a bit.T too old
let me go write some hate mail towards Brett RATner and Fox

It's mostly Fox's fault. Bryan Singer was directing Superman Returns. And Fox didn't want to wait till 2007/2008 to cash in on the x men movies. Had they waited I think the film would have been just as big as DOFP. I mean Jean Grey became a god and was so powerful she was changing the entire world, it would have been epic. And we would have finally seen the Hellfire Club. Plus Cyclops actually having a lead role in creating the danger room and fighting the threat A.K.A. Wolverine would have finally taken the back seat
The worst thing about Storm's "wave" scene in X3 when she makes it gush from the sky is without it she's literally just hovering as everyone else fights until she gets jumped

I always SCREAM in X3 when Wolverine is about to try and take down the Dark Phoenix and he says to Storm, "go, get everyone to safety" .. and she just flies away on her own Storms like, "bye I need to keep my awful wig safe, good luck everyone else"
