The boy we see growing up is its own character that not every boy or kid irl is - not hugely popular, an own sense of clothing, a more creative and also critical mind which I think made him a character that experiences some moments of growing up different than others did. It's about translating your own relateability into it, though, so that was fine to me.
Yes, Patricia Arquette... I thought a lot about if the movie's hype & reception are big enough for it to be a major award season contender? I'm not sure how good or actively they're going to campaign for it.
