Please, he is projecting his issues onto her. They're talking about who to put up next week, Frankie says Jocasta, and Zach asks him why he doesn't like her, and he proceeds to say things like "I don't like the person I am in her eyes" and "When I'm with her, I don't love myself as much." He's putting his issues on to her when she has done nothing to indicate she feels any sort of way about him being gay. Hell, everything she's done has indicated the opposite. I have sympathy for the way he feels about the church and what he's gone through, but I am not here for that being his reason for not using Jocasta. Don't put that on her.
Devin didn't discuss his "view point" inarticulately so I'm not sure what you're talking about. People dragged Devin because they don't have the capacity to understand the struggles of others who aren't like them, simple as that.

This is hardcore irony sis. Both are attempting to justify their irrational feelings about a group based off of personal experience except Jocasta literally believes in/reads/preaches for a living a book that says that Frankie, who he is and how he feels is a sin. Devin was teased as a kid for speaking to proper by black kids for "not being black enough" so now he feels some type of way about black people.
I legit CANNOT see how one would side with Devin yet not see how to side with Frankie it makes no sense
