the 90's were a lot like the late 60's in the way that there was a sudden HUGE burst of creativity across the board for all artists.

its nice when you think artists are putting music out to say something substantial, express a point of view, or change something in the world or in people's lives and not just to cash another paycheck.

Or how to get a #1. Only a select few are steppin outside of the box. I'll take T-Pain for example..he's what everyone think is hot right now right.? Hmmm..what kills me the most is that we have a legend like Mariah Carey makin a song with him just to make "hot" music or to pull off a #1[[which i dont think happened]]. Music now is a gimmick. It's all about party this...party that..and you said hip hop was gettin better yesterday or somethin like that.? HELL NAW. Hip Hop is dead and been dead. "HOT" Hip Hop now is about how many females somebody's slept with or how they got shot, got all this money etc. What every happened to Hip Hop actually having a meaning.? Now God forbid i hear another artist talkin about how they were raised in the ghetto and blah blah. That's fine that you're trying to make a change but you will never make a change if you keep complainin about your past and not look toward your future. So does that answer your question.?

Real Music: meaning music that makes one individual person happy. Whether its music that makes you dance, picks you up off your ass when you're down and out, or just talking about making love to that right person. Real music is music that could be catchy, wild, crazy, soft, smooth, calm, and so on. Its all a personal preference on what you think real music is.

The 90s were much better. Artists put out fantastic music, music that had feeling and not just a dollar sign on it. I lived through all ten years of the 90s and these last 8 years of the 2000s. Hell, the music of 2000-2001 ***** on this output over the last two years or so.

Music was a passion then, and people with actual talent became stars. Nowadays digital technology has damaged sales and altered the fact that talent is necessary to be famous.
