G.R.L. Announces New Single, "Free"

After being signed to label Written Without Warrant, which is known for hosting actress-gone-singer Paige Brooklyn (who was also rumored to have gone on an indefinite hiatus), girl-group G.R.L. was announced to have a new single out sometime on July 20th, 2014. The single, which was revealed to be titled "Free", is set to have a radio and YouTube-audio premiere together once it's released.
Despite being signed to Written Without Warrant, WWW's main representative, Carlton McGuire, is said to not be managing the girls, as they will be managed by Robin Antin, who formed the group along with several other girl groups such as the Pussycat Dolls, Girlicious and Paradiso Girls. Upon the announcement of the label signing, Antin immediately announced the new single alongside the group, stating: "Yes, they've definitely got a new single out. It's called 'Free'. They recorded it pretty quickly, and everyone was so happy to hear how well they did. It's produced by Dr. Luke, who also wrote it along with a few other people, and it's pretty... Amazing."
The group, which consists of Lauren Bennett (Known for her feature in LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem"), Emmalyn Estrada, Simone Battle, Paula van Oppen and Natasha Slayton, also announced they've been recording an upcoming album as well, which remains to be titled.
"We decided it would be best to release a full album," Bennett stated. "The great thing about it is we're actually writing songs for ourselves on it, too. We love Luke and his writing, but we decided, as a group, we want to be able to write as well."
"Luke's still going to produce on some tracks, at least," Estrada followed up after Bennett. "We all really love what he has going on in the studio, and we're glad to work with him. We're thrilled to release 'Free', and we have some other songs to come out after it."
"The girls are also working with Max Martin, StarGate, Darkchild, Benny Blanco, the Smeezingtons and Ryan Tedder," Antin continued. "Though, 'Free' is produced by Dr. Luke, Cirkut and Ammo only. All the music they've recorded so far has been absolutely amazing and it's so great to see them do so well. We're excited to see how the song will fair commercially."
After the announcement, the girls proceeded to tweet lyrics from the song, presumably from the chorus:
It's been so long since I could see
I'm finally who I'm supposed to be
I feel alive, I'm in total ecstasy
Without you, I am finally free
However, Antin then followed up to reveal the true nature behind "Free", stating it was a buzz single to prepare for their upcoming music:
"'Free''s not officially a single, I guess. It's sort of a buzz single. I don't expect it to do well, because of that, but you never really know. But yeah, it's just one to get people to talk a bit. The real single's coming up in the future."
"Free" is due to premiere and release for purchase tomorrow. Stay tuned to listen and buy!
