Today, the 'voice of our generation' aka Christina Aguilera greeted Jay Leno and his audience and the viewers with a special little treat called: "Spitfire". She was joined by up-and-coming female rapping vixen sensation Azealia Banks since she's also featured on the reggae-infused track. "Spitfire" is Aguilera's second single off of her 8th studio album - "Pandora's Box" - which was just released, a few days ago, with the lead single being the uber-successful yet poignant "Nighthawks". The two ladies strutted their stuff as both donned matching "girl gangsta" gear and showed everybody how it's done. It was a borderline raunchy performance, however, it was met with a reasonable amount of applause.
Her album "Pandora's Box" is now available for PURCHASE.
Aguilera's reggae-infused second single "Spitfire" f/ Azealia Banks is also available for PURCHASE.
Christina Aguilera takes part in #FREETHENIPPLE convention
It was Day 2 of the already-successful #FREETHENIPPLE event, run mainly by songstress Rita Ora. There, Christina Aguilera was glady invited to perform a setlist at Madison Square Garden. The convention itself spread awareness for females to be liberated in there own skin, which is an incredibly dear message close to Aguilera's heart. Christina has previously address these double standards, most notably during her "Stripped" era, back in 2002.
Aguilera, who is a known influential figure for feminism and social equality, took to the stage after being met with a roaring reception from the crowd. In light of the release of her 8th studio album, just a few days ago - "Pandora's Box" - the 'voice of our generation' performed some new, raw material whilst still sticking with Christina's usual string of timelessly classic hits. Xtina started out with a show-stopping melody of I Hate Boys and Let Them Eat Cake from 2010's "Bionic" and 2014's "Pandora's Box", respectively.
The mother of two experienced many wardrobe changes and, throughout the show, Aguilera wore various ensembles in the style of Christian Dior. Afterwards, she delved into a more urbanised vibe as Christina performed "Can't Hold Us Down (feat. Lil' Kim)" and reggae-infused track "Spitfire (feat. Azealia Banks)" from 2002's "Stripped" and 2014's "Pandora's Box". In actual fact, "Spitfire" is Aguilera's second and current single from her freshly-released record "Pandora's Box".
So anyways, the ravishing setlist then started to wrap up as Christina expressed her views (through an impromptu speech) on being comfortable in her own skin, especially as a woman, and how important self-worth truly is. She concluded with "Beautiful" from 2002's "Stripped" with a gospel-inspired rendition of the iconic signature hit empowerment anthem. Aguilera was audaciously honoured to be able to take part in an event that has such a special message dearly close to her heart, with fellow women who feel the same way.
Her album "Pandora's Box" is now available for PURCHASE.
Aguilera's reggae-infused second single "Spitfire" f/ Azealia Banks is also available for PURCHASE.
Just under a week ago, Christina Aguilera released the music video of reggae-infused track "Spitfire" featuring up-and-coming female rapper Azealia Banks. "Spitfire" is her second single for 8th studio album - "Pandora's Box" It can now be exclusively revealed and confirmed by VEVO officials that Aguilera's "Lady Marmalade", "Your Body", "Hurt", and "Say Something are now VEVO certified. Meaning that they've all passed over 100 million views, which is a feat in itself. This proves to be a great achievement that Christina has constantly strived for by putting out such quality videography material since she already had a career before video-streaming sites, such as VEVO or Youtube, even dared to be in existance. We congratulate Legend X on such a berated feat.
Last night, Christina Aguilera tweeted this: "Please help @bettemidler reach her $50k goal. Every bit helps #stagesforsuccess" with a link that re-directs to the organisation that Bette Midler set up. The service is called "Stages For Success" and is a new initiative from Bette Midler herself and The Jeckyl Foundation. You are able to give donations on the website in order to fundraise the support of "Stages For Success" and allow them to source out resources of their own. They've currently collected in around $25k worth of donations, which is absolutely fabulous for such an amateur project as that.
Speaking of helping others, Aguilera is a known ambassador for WFP aka World Food Programme; it's always nice to witness the philanthropist and humanitarian within such an intimidating exterior. Just last year, Christina visited Uganda to help those kids who are currently struggling with famine and dehydration. She also went there to spread awareness of the cause in which WFP ultimately stands for. We hope Christina Aguilera continues her good deeds as she embarks on her latest era - "Pandora's Box".

Earlier this morning, Mariaj Carey arrived at the Australian International Airport with her bodyguards, her assistants and the "dembabies" along. Her album promo tour titled, "The Chevalier's Tour" has just finished promote the album, "The Stygian Chevalier" on a huge scale in Japan, and now she came over to Australia to finish up her last two promo tour dates. "I am very excited to be able to come to Australia once again for my Chevalier's Tour !!! Can't wait to see and admire those koalas and kangaroos !!!", Mariah said to an Australian fan while signing her autograph. The hashtag #MCAustralianTour was trending on Twitter for the last 6 hours since she was seen in the airport. "The Chevalier's Tour" tickets in Japan has been sold out in less than 1 and a half minute and breaks her record of selling her tour tickets which she has made last year when she sold out her tour tickets in under 3 minutes."Mariah Carey managed to break her own record of being the fastest foreign female artist to sell out stadiums. This shows that Mariah is still a force to be reckon with even after 24 years.", says the Australian promoter of Mariah's album promo tour when interviewed.
Australia has always been supportive of Mariah. The album, "The Stygian Chevalier" was 85% sold out physically according retailers in Australia. Airplay for her current single, "The Stygian Chevalier" also broke records for having one of the biggest audience impressions by a female artist too. As previously stated in the last week by Camouflage Records, a massive 9 meter wide and 25 meter long screen will be designed, incorporating 3000 of Mariah's vision of MiSTRIP LED modules. This giant backdrop flows onto the stage and beyond via both concave and convex curves to create a stunning visual element of Mariah's dark direction. Insider sources also claimed that something unexpected will happen during the tour too and it will be better than her past tours.
With a new hit album, Mariah Carey's back on top. Vogue magazine reveals that she will be interview by one of their magazine's editor Tanya Done. The hashtag #MCVogue was trending on Twitter for about 10 hours straight after Vogue magazine revealed her being on this issue. To aid Mariah Carey, a physical copy of both her single, "The Stygian Chevalier" and her album which is also titled "The Stygian Chevalier" is included also into this week's issue. A limited alternate cover of the magazine is also rumoured to be released soon with only 500 copies provided for each country. Here is a part of the interview which can be found below:
I've barely had time to catch my breath from the climb up the driveway to Mariah Carey's palatial Los Angeles home when a voluptuous vision in white glides into view. "I'm sooo sorry to have kept you waiting", she purrs. "My conference call just went on for ever..." For the full 11 minutes that Mariah has "kept me waiting," a steady trickle of elaborate canapes have appeared from one of the rented mansion's rooms. Mariah, looking stunning in a gypsy skirt and vest that shows off her curves, has been here less than a day (there's been a flood at her New York apartment and the scale of the damage has yet to be assessed) but already the Bel Air abode is perfumed with the expensive scent of the Diptyque candles. In the imposing entrance hall, every surface is covered by silver-framed photographs that depict happy moments in Mariah's life: holidays with friends, her family, even a scruffy ginger cat.
Mariah has had a rough time of late. A stay in the hospital due to broken bone. She says it was during her being on the set of the "#Beautiful" remix when that happened. Critics world-wide hadn't write her off just yet, but the general public did when Mariah debuted with her album, "Me I am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse" with sales of only 55,000. After a period in the pop wilderness, Mariah's new album "The Stygian Chevalier" has surpassed her past two album's debut week sales with an astonishing number of 309,000 copies sold, which added to her tally of over 200 million singles and albums sold and spawned her 30th US top ten with "Libidinous Dream" which cemented her status as the best selling female artist of all time when she ended up selling a little over 800,000 in the past three weeks. But she insists her happiness has little to do with silencing the public, who claimed the lukewarm reception to her previous albums - 2008's E=MC^2 and the number 3 peaking "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel"- marked the end of her reign at the top back in 2009. "E=MC^2 sold 1 and a half million albums and for me that's not a flop. "But I had to go through those moments that weren't the happiest times 'cos they got me to this. "At this moment, I'm in a good place - it's a new chapter in my life."
As she fusses over my fluid intake ("Can I get you some lemonade?) Mariah describes a typical day in her new chapter. "If we're doing a TV show I have to get up earlier than I would choose! "Then it's the whole 'hurry up and wait' situation - you sit in a crowded dressing room for hours, then do the show, and if there's something the next day I come home and get right in bed to rest my voice. "I've got five humidifiers by my bed - I zone out and try not talk too much. It's very boring!"
Mariah says she's now found a happy medium where her image is concerned - but admits she's still working through her long-standing issues. I ask her what last made her cry and after a long pause, her eyes moisten. "A family situation. It was recent and I don't know if it's sorted out. I still see therapists - I think it's good to figure out a way to handle situations rather than letting your emotions get the better of you." Her troubled childhood - in which her parents divorced when she was three, and her inter-racial heritage caused problems for her at school - along with a turbulent relationship history, have stifled her own maternal urges. But now she is definitely happier after giving birth and having her twins around, 'dembabies' Roc and Roe.
"Most of my friends aren't in the public eye. It's important to have 'real' people around you." Highest on her potential-mate checklist is a sense of humour - "With my life you have to be able to laugh!" - followed by a good character and generosity. "I love baubles. A breakfast bauble, a lunch bauble - a girl's best friend!" With that, Mariah's publicist says she's running late for another meeting and asks if she minds having her picture taken. "But I look like I weigh 80 million pounds in this outfit," she laughs. Six snaps later and Mariah - alleged uber-diva incapable of functioning without an 80-strong entourage - lets me pick the photos. She then thanks me for my time and apologises for her timekeeping. And not a flustered flunkie in sight.
Mariah Carey's new single and album, both titled "The Stygian Chevalier" is out for purchase now both digitally and physically.
Zedd took over TRL today and rebranded it as Total Zedd Live. This follows a recent trend of pop stars hosting TRL and rebranding it with their names. This is the first time an EDM artist has hosted the show, however.
The one-hour special included an interview segment, a game, and the Top 10 countdown. The top 10 list can be found below. For the interview and game, please see Part 1.
TZL Top 10 Countdown
This countdown is like a typical TRL countdown: it’s the top 10 videos, but voted by text message and a poll on the TRL website. The video is announced with its place, and the video is played. In this episode, Zedd announces them and comments on them prior to the video being shown. Here is the top 10 list!
8. “Losing Me” – Rita Ora
NOTE: This video has been edited to be allowed under FCC guidelines
Zedd’s Comment: “I found this video to be kinda funny, but a little disturbing as a guy. It kinda scares me, haha. It is a good video, and the song will for sure do well.”
What a pleasant surprise to wake up to! Overnight, Nicki Minaj was busy on her Twitter connecting with her fans, as usual. She decided to give them a little something something, and you've guessed it - new material! And it's what Nicki does best sometimes - freestyles. The Queen of Rap took Danity Kane's track and extracted Tyga's rap, replacing it with a new freestyle. In the freestyle, she name-drops Michael Jackson and Eddie Murphy, and also lets 'em know she's coming back for the Crown with this new era. The audio has gotten over a million listens in the past six hours its been out, since it is only available on SoundCloud. A lot of people have been calling this her best unreleased track to date, although she only did a small feature. The ladies of Danity Kane showed Nicki some love on Twitter, and everything's going great. With the video release of "Lemonade" and temporary discount, it has sustained in the Top Three and is expected to stay there towards the end of the week. You can purchase the single and pre-order their upcoming EP, 'DK3' to be released tomorrow. You can also listen to the Nicki freestyle above.
NOTE: This video has been edited to be allowed under FCC guidelines
Zedd’s Comment: “This video is amazing, it deserves to be number one! It could easily fall out of the top 10 next week, especially if big videos are released from now until then. I really hope it takes the number one spot eventually, though."
Christina Aguilera has been navigating New York lately for promo scheduling reasons, which is entirely understandable. She was last seen spotted taking part in a parade campaigning for equality and rights for those in the LGBT community. The state of New York has already passed over the law of gay marriage, however, the officials of the parade claim that they did it in New York since that would garner more attention than in the actual areas in which they're addressing with this protest. Aguilera has always been an LGBT rights candidate and is even perceived as a super-influential gay icon for the masses. Ever since the release of "Beautiful" back in 2002 during the "Stripped" era, she's been heralded as a figure of equality for all. So, this really doesn't come to a shock to many that she decided to take part in such an event. Especially when Xtina is so associated with the LGBT community itself.
At the LGBT parade, Aguilera protested on the streets of Manhatten with those who are also for the cause. There were banners, posters, streamers, and chanting as they proceeded through the city of New York. Some instances of violence did eventually break out, however, most of the protest was kept peaceful for the duration of the parade. Music blared from surround-sound speakers whilst people within the LGBT community celebrated such a turn of events for them. Christina was seen furiously taking part in the event and even sang a little bit of "Beautiful" when it was nearing its end.
In other news, the notorious Xtina killer is still on the loose even after legal action was taken. It then came to our knowledge that - even if they did catch the criminal - they wouldn't be able to press the necessary charges due to how the Supreme Court works in Los Angeles and the state of California, as a whole. After the alleged Scientology reports came to life, social media absolutely blew up with support for Christina Aguilera and her family since Scientology is no joke in Hollywood culture. Christina has always been quite guarded so, hopefully, she doesn't give in this time. We just pray that Aguilera and her family's health stays intact as the 'voice of our generation' embarks on her latest era - "Pandora's Box".

Aguilera's reggae-infused second single "Spitfire" f/ Azealia Banks is also available for PURCHASE.
Rita called in to London KISS FM after headlining the #FREETHENIPPLE convention on Wednesday.
Rita's on the air with us, everybody! It's lovely to have you on here!
Oh it's my pleasure, this is one of my favorite stations.
That's nice to hear. So, we've heard a coupe of songs from your new album, Losing Me and Fire Starter and they're amazing. We've had both playing on our station throughout the day. Did you expect this positive feedback when writing he songs!
No, actually. Not at all. I feared that in the sexist world we live in, my song would be overlooked. But I'm happy it didn't. I wrote both songs to empower young girls and to make them stand up for themselves and to let them know that it's okay to want attention. "Fire Starter" is about a girl that is afraid to take control because she's afraid to be called "bossy". But as the song goes on, she realizes that it's okay to shine and takes charge.
Wow, that's really deep! Can we expect some more empowering anthems/lyrics on your new album?
Yes, I wrote a lot of inspiring music, and not just for girls but for boys too. I want this record to really hep music, like the music I listened as a teen helped me.
Speaking of your new album, can you tell us a bit more about it seeing as it will be released very soon?
Well, the name of my album is called Impulse to Soar, and I've performed the title track a couple times during the #FREETHENIPPLE conventions. For the RITARDS, who I'm sure are dying to get some new exclusive info about it, the album will be going up for pre-order later this evening.
Impulse to Soar! That sounds really interesting. Thanks for giving us this exclusive Rita, good luck with your album release next week!
Thanks George, I hope to be back in the UK very soon, and maybe pay KISS FM a visit next time.
It was great to have you, and you're welcome to call in or drop by anytime! Buy Rita's new singles, Losing Me and Fire Starter, on iTunes now!
RITA PERFORMS AT QUEEN ELIZABETH'S DIAMOND JUBILEE
Rita was asked by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, to perform at her Diamond Jubilee celebration last night. The event was held at the Royal Albert Hall, and was packed with both famous celebs and and fans hoping to catch a glimpse of their fave. Celebrities including movie-stars, musicians and many others began to show up around 8pm, walking along the red carpet while talked to the press and posing for fan pictures. Rita arrived at the event wearing a custom made Givenchy gown, with white feather details at the top transitioning into a long feathered train at the bottom. Her hair was down and her makeup was dark and smoky. She arrived at 8:20, four minutes before the ceremony and though she was the last, she was definitely the best looking. She had no time to talk to the press but she quickly posed for pictures before dashing inside to catch the begging of the ceremony.
Inside, Rita sat in the VIP box along with other celebrities as the ceremony began. The stage curtain slowly rose up, revealing a large orchestra and a conductor. The music began and they played "God Save The Queen" along with other songs of praise to celebrate Queen Elizabeth. Following, the orchestra other performers take to stage to pay their respects to the Queen. Rita was scheduled to close the celebration and twenty minutes before the performance before her's ended, she was seen leaving the VIP box to go change.
Rita began her set by performing the UK national anthem, God Save the Queen, a cappella and received a standing ovation from the audience including the Queen herself. She had changed into an outfit similar to the one she wore on the red carpet, but her hair was put in a high pony tail.
The stage lights dimmed, and the audience quieted down. The pulsating bass of "Fire Starter" began and Rita delivered her lyrics in her lower register setting a mellow tone in the air. She finished the first verse and the dub step drop kicked in, filing the large hall with screaming synths and chopped n' screwed beats. After Fire Starter, she performed "Impulse to Soar" along with the orchestra that had opened earlier that evening.
When she finished "Impulse to Soar", the lights onstage shifted to green and yellow and the reggae beat of "Blindside" began to play. Rita got the crowd to sing along to the chorus through call and response even the Queen reportedly joined in. Rita, ended her electrifying set with her hit single "Losing Me" and was met with a standing ovation from the crowd including the Queen. Since her performance, her songs have been met with high demand on the radios.
It took me a long time to read through all the videos but I finally sent my nominations.
I loved all the videos but the ones that got the most nominations from me are: Nighthawks, Gimme Your Best, Psycho and The Stygian Chevalier
Those are the people that got 3 nominations, a lot of videos got 2 nominations from me
There were so many great videos though, I think I nominated almost everybody
Following her performance with Kesha at the #FREETHENIPPLE convention in Nice, Rita showed up at Crazy Horse in Paris to perform some new music. The show began with the foot dance by the professional burlesque dancers. They dance using only the legs and they danced along to Britney's new sinlge "Touchin' Me".
When they finished, they went offstage, and the host came up to announce Rita. The audience, which was mostly men, cheered as the lights dimmed. A spotlight flashed onstage, and Rita came out from behind a sequined divider. She was dressed in a gold colored jeweled bustier, and a black sparkly thong. She pranced around the stage, a siren sounded. Four other dancers, dressed in similarly seductive outfits, got on stage and stood in a semi-circle around Rita. As the siren faded out a loud trap instrumental began playing with a looped female orgasm playing in the background. Rita and the dancers moved around the sang perfuming sensual choreography much to the delight of the men in the crowd. She delivered the lyrics in a loud but seductive voice almost as if she were seducing the men in the crowd. The song she performed was titled "Boudoir (Come In)" and she announced it would be on here new album that would be coming sometime this week. She then performed "*** Over Here" and 'Fire Starter" and finished with a slower, more sensual rendition of "Losing Me." Her performance was met with cheers and applause by the crowd, and she left the stage with a smile.
